@TonyNatif He can't show official assignment to head city mortuary, lecture in Makerere, design a course to be taught with SA. Continues to posture as consultant of Mulago. Holds same qualification as Dr. Male as registered by UMDPC but wants court to believe his genuine but Male's isn't.

TT, you’re cheering for form and not substance. Let me give you an example here to show you missed the point. Jonathan talked about Dr Male qualifying to practice medicine in 1984. That means by the time he did that post mortem, he had practiced medicine for 39 years! Even if he joined medical school in the 70s at 18 years old (impossible), he’d be past retirement age. This is in the same cross examination where Jonathan seeks to paint Dr Onzivua as someone who shouldn’t have done that postmortem review coz he already left Makerere/Mulago and is retired. So, if Dr Onzivua who was in high school when Dr Male was already a qualified Doctor couldn’t review a PM by reason of retirement, what business did Dr Male have doing the postmortem when he’s long past retirement?

@Adroma_Moses He told the truth that those guys failed exams or were weak students. Why then do you use that to question his character? Why not ask him why he thinks they’re incompetent? Are you used to competitions where everyone wins a prize?

UgandaVsMollyKatanga We didn’t have to wait so long. Justice Rosette Comfort Kania walked in just after 9:30 am and immediately, the defense’s first witness was interdicted by Mr Jet Tumwebaze. The defense has brought out perhaps the most senior forensic pathologist in this country, Dr Sylvester Onzivua. He tells the presiding Judge that he’s a Roman Catholic and goes ahead to hold up the Bible and swear to tell the truth and nothing but the truth on matters touching this case. He says he’s the one who trains the very prosecutors, police etc on sexual and gender based violence. He says he has trained the two female prosecutors currently before him. He holds a Degree in Medicine and Surgery, from Makerere University (1993), a Masters of Medicine in Pathology (2003), a Post Graduate Diploma in Forensic medicine from the Colleges of Medicine of South Africa (2005). He’s also trained in Forensic Anthropology from Durban. He worked with Mulago Hospital, attached to the Department of Pathology of Makerere University and part of his deployment was in the City Mortuary where he was the Head of City Mortuary. He worked there from 2005 up to 2013. He headed the City Mortuary after Dr Nsereko Mukasa left in 2008. He has worked as a pathologist for 26 years. He “did quite some teaching in Makerere which I still do up to now”. He writes a column in the @DailyMonitor every Saturday titled “Medicine, the Law and You”. He’s also an author of a literature book currently used for O’Level education. It’s titled: The Heart Soothers. He’s also written another book: “Medicine, the Law and You” and he has a number of Scientific Publications. He is a contributing author of a number of other books on Forensic Medicine in East Africa. This promises to be some session. You can follow live proceedings here: youtube.com/live/a1u5hJ5zq…

UgandaVsMollyKatanga This morning at the Criminal Division of the High Court, Mrs Molly Katanga presents her first witness(es) in what promises to be a nail biting battle of expert witnesses against state expert witnesses. The science presented by the state in support of their case is about to face a stun test as the Matriarch of the Katanga household pushes back on what she called a “fake”, “framed case”. On Monday 11th May 2026, Mrs Katanga finalized her testimony after the state ended their cross examination and her defense lawyers did a brief re-examination to clarify on about 3 issues raised by the prosecution during cross examination. The state sought to introduce a new motive for this alleged crime, to wit; 1-that she killed her husband so she could gain control of company accounts and use the funds for her own gain. 2-that she killed him to take over his property. They presented bank statements showing she continued to transact on company accounts after her husband’s death. She pushed back hard and said in fact, she started transacting on those company accounts, alone, from 2004 to-date. She seemed genuinely surprised at the assertion by the prosecutor that she could kill her husband to do something that she was already doing anyway for nearly 20 years. They then switched gears and accused her of killing her husband so she could take over his “vast property portfolio”. She asked them “which property?” They didn’t answer. Then she said in fact, most of the property the Katangas have, she would buy it and then add his name so they could jointly own it. She reminded them that earlier in the trial, they brought out a purchase agreement for a property and told court that that was the motive for her killing him. That she wanted him to sign the purchase agreement She said “in fact I had already bought that property, paid and signed”. She called the state evidence fabricated and said she was framed. She asked the Judge how possible it was that 4 samples were taken from her and all were used up during DNA testing but somehow the state had a report for GSR that relied on the same used up samples. She wondered where the state got those samples and results from and accused them of fabricating results to frame her. She asked how possible it was that in January 2024, the state charged her while relying on results they only got in April. These are the same results she says are fabricated. She asked that Justice Kania put her on the record on this. The state objected But the most emotional part of her evidence came at the end when she was asked by her defense attorney Mr Elison Karuhanga to speak to the claims that she fabricated medical evidence to create a narrative that she had been beaten. You might recall that the Director of Health Services in @PoliceUg, Dr Moses Byaruhanga, testified that upon examining Mrs Katanga, he established that she had been repeatedly beaten with a blunt object, suffered multiple injuries, broken bones, severe head trauma, deep tissue bleeding etc. He said that but for quick medical intervention, these injuries were life threatening. The prosecution sought to portray these as self-inflicted, fabricated and/or exaggerated. She held up their own evidence (images they brought to court) and pointing to them and to the scars on her head, she asked them how possible it was that she could have fabricated that. They remained mute. Mrs Katanga holding up the images: “this is me”; as she removed the veil from her head to expose several scars on her head. “This is me”. Justice Kania: “so there’s no fabrication of injuries?” Mrs Katanga pointed to the images presented by the state, which she said she couldn’t even bring herself to look at. She then asked: “how can you kill someone in this state?” She got no answer; just silence. See video below 👇🏾 (Fair warning: the video can be triggering for victims of domestic violence and it has some images that are tough to watch)

@TonyNatif Well, he swore to tell the truth, right? If prosecution does it's work well, they will uncover a lot. I'm not a lawyer, but his credibility and evidence becomes wanting

@TonyNatif I'm not going to take that line for engagement. What can I tell you is that in clinical practice, be weary of doctors who discredit others. The cross exam can just start with his character, and you will be amazed.

@m8arteta, complete the season and leave @Arsenal. At this point, no one should continue to believe in your rhetoric. You take things for granted. The club needs an experienced manager. You are too inexperienced for this job.

Btw leadership is extremely important. 80% of UMEME middle office and frontline employees were transferred to UEDCL. UEDCL hired a few more top ranks plus retained its old leadership. And the service is so bad just because of leadership. They first bought cars in April
Dr. Sserunjogi Emma@DrSerunjogiEmma

That @UEDCLTD Excuse as to why we keep getting power outages and they say old equipment, delayed shipping for new equipement etc just shows how incompetent these guys are. So, they did not do due diligence to assess the impact of their takeover but just got excited. When Messi or CR7 are to join any social media account, the company first gets notified and prepares their servers for the sudden burst in traffic. When @UDLSOfficial took over from face technologies, they did all the preparations and in just one month, we had the best service delivery. These guys are just giving excuses after excuses. The truth is, at scale excuses signifies incompetence!

The context is lost here: law enforcement officers have legal authority to use physical force in crowd control, including the use of batons. Batons are in my view even more vicious than ordinary sticks which the public is wailing about. Yet you do not see the same energy condemning corporal punishment which is still widely applied in our society, often times with the tacit approval of parents, guardians, and those in positions of responsibility. It is called hypocrisy. The security forces will not be intimidated and will continue to take firm action against belligerent groups, individuals, and criminals who do not comply with guidance of law enforcement officers undertaking their legitimate duty to maintain public law and order. The batons are coming!

Col. Chris Magezi – Acting Defence Public Information Officer: We tend to be driven more by emotions than by logic. For instance, people are outraged because some individuals were beaten with sticks, yet in some of our own communities, parents still administer corporal punishment to their children, and some schools do the same. #NextBigTalk #NextRadioUg #UgVotes2026

It's good to excite the public but the biggest question is, have you seen any job advert with minimum qualifications as bachelor's of science in AI??? This graduate cannot compete with someone who did Computer science with interest in ML or software engineering. Maybe if someone is going to pursue these just to learn something but they won't be employable... If it was being offered as a masters degree, would make sense because it's being done by someone who has a minimum qualification and now they're gaining a specialization. Reminds me of companies that are always telling their tech departments to "put there some AI in our software" just because the word AI is interesting 🙂

I’m Lucy. I’ve been with a man for 4 years who fully supports me financially, though I don’t love him and he knows it. He still chooses to stay, but I’m starting to wonder if keeping him around is stopping me from meeting the man I truly want. Should I let him go?

@EGTVEgal There is a reason Adams is a pundit & Arteta is a manager. The club doesn't need unnecessary split in dressing room. Leaders lead naturally. They don't need titles or offices to lead. Odegaard is simply the captain, but Rice & others can lead without necessarily being captains

I am sure many folks are going to do so. On this day, when we remember the Mukura massacre, referenced in the circulating audio, it is especially urgent that we do not undermine the suffering of the victims of this regime. You can do so, too, by sharing your tool and its findings. AI tools provide detailed feedback. You could share it as a more impactful way to dispel what you say is false. Silence the doubters, please.

𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐚𝐮𝐝𝐢𝐨 𝐢𝐬 𝐟𝐚𝐛𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐝. 𝐏𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐞 𝐝𝐢𝐬𝐫𝐞𝐠𝐚𝐫𝐝 𝐢𝐭 𝐢𝐧 𝐢𝐭𝐬 𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐭𝐲. Ladies and gentlemen, the circulating audio clearly demonstrates how Artificial Intelligence (AI) can be misused by individuals with bad intentions to deceive, manipulate, and spread falsehoods. As a supporter of the safe and responsible use of Artificial Intelligence, I have checked the audio using available AI detection tools, and all results confirm that the audio is fake. It appears that malicious actors have trained AI systems to imitate the voice of the Rt. Hon. Speaker @AnitahAmong and have used it to create false and hateful content. This is not just a misuse of technology; it is a deliberate act of character assassination. To our leaders and policymakers: the time to act is now. Uganda must embrace Artificial Intelligence and related technologies to drive national development. At the same time, we must urgently establish clear regulations, ethical guidelines, and safeguards to prevent the harmful use of these innovations. Artificial Intelligence should be a tool for good. It should help, support, and bring positive change, not be used to divide people or spread lies. To the Rt. Hon. Speaker of Parliament, please stay strong. Many of us stand with you and strongly condemn this attack. Your voice and leadership are needed now more than ever to help build national systems that ensure AI benefits Uganda rather than harms it.
