Dr. Onzivua felt Jonathan Muwaganya’s fire

UgandaVsMollyKatanga This morning at the Criminal Division of the High Court, Mrs Molly Katanga presents her first witness(es) in what promises to be a nail biting battle of expert witnesses against state expert witnesses. The science presented by the state in support of their case is about to face a stun test as the Matriarch of the Katanga household pushes back on what she called a “fake”, “framed case”. On Monday 11th May 2026, Mrs Katanga finalized her testimony after the state ended their cross examination and her defense lawyers did a brief re-examination to clarify on about 3 issues raised by the prosecution during cross examination. The state sought to introduce a new motive for this alleged crime, to wit; 1-that she killed her husband so she could gain control of company accounts and use the funds for her own gain. 2-that she killed him to take over his property. They presented bank statements showing she continued to transact on company accounts after her husband’s death. She pushed back hard and said in fact, she started transacting on those company accounts, alone, from 2004 to-date. She seemed genuinely surprised at the assertion by the prosecutor that she could kill her husband to do something that she was already doing anyway for nearly 20 years. They then switched gears and accused her of killing her husband so she could take over his “vast property portfolio”. She asked them “which property?” They didn’t answer. Then she said in fact, most of the property the Katangas have, she would buy it and then add his name so they could jointly own it. She reminded them that earlier in the trial, they brought out a purchase agreement for a property and told court that that was the motive for her killing him. That she wanted him to sign the purchase agreement She said “in fact I had already bought that property, paid and signed”. She called the state evidence fabricated and said she was framed. She asked the Judge how possible it was that 4 samples were taken from her and all were used up during DNA testing but somehow the state had a report for GSR that relied on the same used up samples. She wondered where the state got those samples and results from and accused them of fabricating results to frame her. She asked how possible it was that in January 2024, the state charged her while relying on results they only got in April. These are the same results she says are fabricated. She asked that Justice Kania put her on the record on this. The state objected But the most emotional part of her evidence came at the end when she was asked by her defense attorney Mr Elison Karuhanga to speak to the claims that she fabricated medical evidence to create a narrative that she had been beaten. You might recall that the Director of Health Services in @PoliceUg, Dr Moses Byaruhanga, testified that upon examining Mrs Katanga, he established that she had been repeatedly beaten with a blunt object, suffered multiple injuries, broken bones, severe head trauma, deep tissue bleeding etc. He said that but for quick medical intervention, these injuries were life threatening. The prosecution sought to portray these as self-inflicted, fabricated and/or exaggerated. She held up their own evidence (images they brought to court) and pointing to them and to the scars on her head, she asked them how possible it was that she could have fabricated that. They remained mute. Mrs Katanga holding up the images: “this is me”; as she removed the veil from her head to expose several scars on her head. “This is me”. Justice Kania: “so there’s no fabrication of injuries?” Mrs Katanga pointed to the images presented by the state, which she said she couldn’t even bring herself to look at. She then asked: “how can you kill someone in this state?” She got no answer; just silence. See video below 👇🏾 (Fair warning: the video can be triggering for victims of domestic violence and it has some images that are tough to watch)

That @UEDCLTD Excuse as to why we keep getting power outages and they say old equipment, delayed shipping for new equipement etc just shows how incompetent these guys are. So, they did not do due diligence to assess the impact of their takeover but just got excited. When Messi or CR7 are to join any social media account, the company first gets notified and prepares their servers for the sudden burst in traffic. When @UDLSOfficial took over from face technologies, they did all the preparations and in just one month, we had the best service delivery. These guys are just giving excuses after excuses. The truth is, at scale excuses signifies incompetence!

Col. Chris Magezi – Acting Defence Public Information Officer: We tend to be driven more by emotions than by logic. For instance, people are outraged because some individuals were beaten with sticks, yet in some of our own communities, parents still administer corporal punishment to their children, and some schools do the same. #NextBigTalk #NextRadioUg #UgVotes2026
