subscriptions assume a human will use a service regularly enough to justify a monthly fee agents don't work like that. they use a service once, get what they need, and move on. per-request micropayments are clearly the right model for agents (cc fees are cost prohibitive) and there’s no better stack than x402 + usdc + base
