@PoznanBoys what quality in buildup? White/Cala been unfit the past month and Gabriel looks pretty poor on the ball most of the time.

Thing that frustrates me is we don't even really go long as a proactive tactic to try win 2nd-balls, as Leverkusen did today; it's out of fear of building short & conceding turnovers, which is unacceptable.
With the quality in buildup, we have the ability to entice & then go.

Being a long team on the ball is not on Arsenal's DNA and that is how we've looked for most of 2026. We cant have our forward 3 so disconnected from the rest of the team.

Chelsea always extremely tough oppo for us in general cos they're very physical and technical (why their big 6 record is good) so I'm calm tbh.
Game should've been wrapped first half tho but our attackers did too much bozo which didn't even result into a shot a lot of the time

As it turns out, if Arsenal do manage to reach the final (which is still a long way off), we’d be the “away” team. I think that’s a small price to pay for this draw.

By the way, the designated "home" team in the final is determined by this draw, not by League Phase finish. Just bringing that up because I've seen some confusion about it, finishing first doesn't guarantee you being the "home" team.

Sesko has a variation of different finishes but he also impacts different phases of the game. He can get goals A) in the air, B) from good box movement, C) from creating his own shot with touches in the box, D) from bursting away in transition. Hallmarks of a quality goalscorer.

The reason why we performed today is because we did the absolute basics.
Didn’t allow the game to become chaotic, largely kept the ball on the ground when we weren’t provoked to go long and our technical level was much better.
Do this and you can sustain pressure. That’s the Arsenal I know under Mikel. We simply haven’t been doing the basics for far too long in the league. Do the basics and then we can see the principles in full flow.
