Thank You, and Congratulations to all those who showed up with us in June. Remember #WinterABC is never really over until a new edition begins... so you can still catch up at your own pace... If you did one prompt a week you would finish Winterabc in December🤔 #WinterABC26 ~B

Though Chaz lived the semblance of a happy man, that was merely an outward glory, a vain façade, hiding an inward toil. He defied all the odds to re-write his story, and he's done that. Once condemned as a public nuisance, he is now a source of pride. dismasnuwaine5.wordpress.com/2024/04/01/cha…

every technology that democratises a scarce skill gets mocked by the people who built their identity around that scarcity. calculators would "destroy math." wordpress isn't "real web development." *no-code* isn't "real software." ai art isn't "real art." now that's happening with vibe coding. the first reaction is almost always the same: "it's not real." it is never because the tool isn't useful. in fact they are hella useful! the problem is that the tool ***changes who gets to participate***. every time a barrier falls, expertise has to move somewhere else. it moves from memorizing to judging, from syntax to systems, or from knowing how to build to knowing what is worth building. the tool didn't make expertise disappear. neither did the tool impurify the expertise. the tool is innocent. its only crime? forcing expertise to evolve. history keeps changing the bottleneck. so people do one of two things: 1. keep defending the old status quo. 2. get curious & decide to pivot accordingly.

I have been talking to my mom and my sisters about what we can do to empower the next generation of women to safely exit violent partnerships. Folks used to think education, your own money or reporting helps. It’s not enough. I believe that if he hits you 1x he will do it again.

On Friday, I hosted @trishulapatel as she launched her landmark book "Becoming Zimbabwean: A History of Indians in Rhodesia". The event at the Hyatt was attended by Constitutional and Supreme Court justices, academics, civil servants, business folk, readers and book lovers.
