Now in OAU, The school wants to renovate two blocks just a few weeks into the second semester. Students have been asked to vacate and find alternative accommodation immediately. Each block has about 45 rooms, with 6+ students per room, meaning roughly 270+ students per block, excluding those still scouting for rooms. That’s over 540 students affected across both blocks. The question is simple: where exactly are all these students expected to go? Despite the concerns raised, the school is insisting on going ahead with the renovation and is not listening to students’ voices. On top of this, there is still an unresolved bus issue affecting movement on campus. A protest is scheduled to begin at 6am tomorrow. We are already mobilizing physically on campus, and we are also calling for support online across Nigeria. Please lend your voice and help amplify this situation.
