defi coins im most bullish on in the coming years r the ones that r actively working on supporting tradfi assets be it trading, or lending against tradfi assets tam could be orders of mag bigger than focusing solely on cryptonative assets a nice externality of this is it helps us get out of our reflexive boom and bust cycles (ie falling crypto asset prices causing fundamentals to deteriorate) the biggest hurdle in the past was in fact regulations, but that seems to be changing

Have not told anyone to buy the dips etc this entire time. But $btc being down 40k and +30% in a short time feels like things are at least locally getting a bit over extended and it’s likely not a bad time to start to buy for a bounce. I think the last time I posted btc buys it was 74k in April or so. Idk if it’s the bottom. Not calling one. But this area imo is likely within a few % of a local bottom.

@donalt Not much exposure atm, but this is too negative. BTC ETF DCA will continue for a lot of people. Stablecoins adoption still a major objective for US gov. DeFi still the better solution for smaller investors.

most smart traders and long term investors i follow r now bearish. and this is across different time horizons. ive been independently nervous about the market since mid september for different reasons. as a long term optimist ive never found the conviction to be outright bearish. but when most stars align it makes sense to at least take some chips off the table imo.

FOMC day has arrived where per usual we will not learn anything new from Powell. The Fed's end to QT has already been leaked to big bank strategists and the WSJ, they will cut at their next two meetings to stay consistent with September dot plot and market expectations, and they will continue to prioritize supporting growth while avoiding public acknowledgement that their inflation target has shifted up to ~3%. Fast forward a few hours and Trump will be touting his meeting with Xi as the most successful and important meeting any US president has ever had. There will be talks of a grand deal made that can now provide certainty to corporates and consumers globally. After this, event risk rolls off significantly into year end. It is extremely difficult to be fearful of a market boogeyman when corporate bond yields are at 3.5 year lows, mortgage rates are at 3 year lows, oil is at 4.5 year lows, the Fed is cutting in 4/5 consecutive meetings and ending QT, fiscal deficit spending is still running rampant and OBBA incentives plus other election year stimulus measures begin next quarter. These next few quarters will likely remind everyone why Trump got his President Pump nickname.

This remains my base case for the next 6 months: Gold has had it's blow off top moment. This marks the beginning of mid term tops for markets Something like 2007/2008 Gold will go lower. Risk will top. Then gold will suck liquidity out of risk assets causing the capitulation
