@rawriekawn @rovarma You don't have to go to download folder, you just click a button or two in browser Also OBS site suggests to use flatpak. So the correct way is to google "obs linux", see "use flatpak", google "wtf is flatpak", etc, instead of just downloading exe

This is 100% true, but Linux devs were and are in denial about this. There’s a reason the install page for every cross platform app looks like * Download Windows installer * Download OSX package * Click here for Linux install instructions that may or may not work on your distro

I don't know if a lot of people have thought why this happened. To make Linux viable for the layman, Valve had to make Proton (derived from Wine) so that Win32 API became the first and only stable ABI on Linux. Why did Linux Distro devs not care about stable ABI historically?

@iaintnobodyB @Xpargz The pads are also pressure sensitive so you can play games like The Bouncer with a non-original controller. MGS originally had hard and soft press inputs on the same button for holster/fire and you can have that again.

I know multiple people who still insist track pads suck and nobody wants them, but I was sold basically the instant I first used them. For first person games they're a massive improvement over joysticks.

They're using LLM's to remake Resident Evil like it was produced in 2026. Meanwhile, I'm working by hand taking the game from 90s to early 2000s. It's hard not to feel inferior sometimes but I'm hoping people find value in the authenticity of that and care I put in to be faithful to the original preserving the original artwork and colors.

The issue is that NOW the Steam Controller has better support but when it launched it didn't. The D-Pad was also awful. Lol If Valve went with a normal D-Pad it probably wouldn't have been as badly received, but it wasn't going to do well when the X-box format was standardized.
