That would be because most Leftists do not have a principled belief in free speech and expression, or even a universal opposition to censorship, they still believe "hate speech" should be censored, that appeals to the "male gaze" should be censored. For them, "Normalization" of any "perceived harm" is grounds for censorship, whether that be sexism, racism, homophobia, transphobia, xenophobia, etc, the list of exceptions never ends with them. Whereas Tradcons, despite also being hypocrites, are far more consistent with their exceptions to any claimed belief in free speech and expression, or opposition to censorship, things like "degeneracy" or religions they don't like, it's always the same thing, they are principled in their exceptions, it is not a moving target with them.
