Drivers who bought the cars are saying if you glance off the road for a second to look at the mountains, or change a song, the vehicle starts alerting
It will also stop the car by using its ‘Emergency Stop Assist with Safe Lane Selection’ if it feels the situation is an emergency
If the system detects you’re unresponsive, it warns with sounds, steering wheel vibrations
If no response, it can automatically brake, slow the car and steer to the shoulder

During the Biden administration, H-1B visa holders were buying houses with 97-100% financing. 97% would come from the FHA, with the rest coming from state first-time home buyer programs. Zero money down. Thanks to programs that were supposed to be helping low-income American families buy their own homes. FHA loans to non-permanent residents quickly grew to represent 6% of mortgage issuances. The percentage was undoubtedly higher in places like the DFW area, where H-1B visa holders are disproportionately concentrated. I don’t have anything against people in America on H-1B visas. I’ve said it before—and I’ll say it again—that I’ve found many of them to be great people on an individual level, and I wish them all nothing but the best. Individual immigrants—especially those here legally—are not at fault for flawed US immigration policy. But this might be the most radicalizing thing I’ve ever seen. Not only are American workers forced to compete for jobs, they’re also forced to compete in the housing market against people bringing 0-3% of a house’s cost to the closing table, versus the 10-20% most people have to pay. First, companies import mass numbers of H-1B visa holders, largely in "back office" white-collar fields like IT and accounting. This essentially imposes a lower ceiling on domestic wages in these job categories. Next, these workers—who are generally concentrated in certain geographic areas—create more demand for housing (especially in good school districts), driving up home prices and the cost of living. Then, to top it off, they don’t even have to save up money for a down payment. They can close on a $500k house with $0-15k plus a 97% FHA loan. Meanwhile, ordinary American families are forced to come to with $50-100k for the same down payment. I don’t care how you feel about Trump or what your preferred immigration policies are; there’s no defending this. It screws over hard-working American citizens several different ways over, and it’s yet another reason why I will always be glad Trump won and Kamala Harris lost in 2024.

I support this, but states like SC,where I live, have gone to Constitutional Open Carry in which there is no longer a concealed carry permit required.
The bill would have to have a provision recognizing those states where no CCP is required.
Previously, we were issued the permits after testing but free of charge but they are no longer issuing them.

Senator Mike Lee filed a NATIONAL reciprocity bill that would require all 50 states to recognize concealed carry permits issued by other states.
The bill solves the problem of gun owners being permitted to carry in one state, but charged with a Felony in another.
Democrats argue this legislation strips states of their authority to set gun regulations.

This enforcement of the 1996 law (8 U.S.C. §1324d) resumed in spring 2025. Plans were announced April 8, 2025; ICE began issuing fines around June 13, 2025 (retroactive up to 5 years).
By early 2026, DHS reported ~65,000 notices issued totaling tens of billions (individual fines often $1M+).
Ramifications are civil: fines pressure self-deportation (with forgiveness + $1k stipend via CBP app). Unpaid leads to collection lawsuits and possible asset seizure. Separate from criminal deportation enforcement, which continues aggressively. Not symbolic—it's active policy.

BREAKING: FedEx driver who pleaded guilty to kidnapping and murdering 7-year-old Athena Strand, has been sentenced to death.
Tanner Horner snatched Athena while he was delivering a Barbie doll to her home in Paradise, Texas.
At one point during the trial, jurors broke down in tears while hearing audio of Horner killing Athena after he told her to take off her shirt and said she was "really pretty."
Athena repeatedly asked for her mother before she was killed.
"Horner is then heard asking Athena to remove her shirt, and there are several moments when she says "no" and asks for her mom. That was followed by repeated sounds of crying, screaming and banging," NBC reported last month.
Following three hours of deliberation today, Horner was sentenced to death by lethal injection.

This H-1B worker has lived in the US for nearly 20 years and built a family here. His mom was dying in India. To visit her, he would need to wait months to book a consular appointment--with the soonest one available likely being scheduled one year out. He made the difficult choice of not visiting his dying mom because leaving without an appointment would mean separation from his children, job, and his other obligations. Much of the commentary around immigration focuses on how such bureaucratic burdens undermine immigrants’ ability to contribute and innovate. But we must remember that this red tape also prevents these people from being fully engaged with their own lives and meaningfully present in the lives of others. This matters too, and these seemingly non-economic problems will eventually translate into economic costs. If America is no longer a place where people feel empowered to be the best versions of themselves as they celebrate, struggle, and grieve, it ceases not just being the land of opportunity, but also the land of dignity and purpose. linkedin.com/posts/gautam-d…
