@channelstv The only way to that reality is to reach compromise with others towards 2038. I like Obi, but the possibility of him getting it next year is very remote. The North are smart politically. The issue of Obi spending 1 term will not fly a kite when the time comes. The evil we know...

I am looking forward to a time when only Ndigbo will contest for the presidency of Nigeria. 'We are the only people in the South that have not produced a president; they must allow us to produce a president,' says Kenneth Okonkwo. I am going to make all the necessary alignments to make sure somebody from the South East becomes president or Vice in 2027 and becomes President thereafter, he added. – Kenneth Okonkwo, ADC Member #PoliticsToday

@MarioNawfal China is able to achieve this and more because spending $1.5 trillion on defence is not part of their priorities. And the irony is after spending such humongous amount on defence, you end up going to war with Iran, Venezuela, Cuba and Syria 😀😀

🇨🇳 China is now running trams without rails. Just virtual guidance systems on normal roads. The vehicle can carry 500 passengers and reach speeds of 70 km/h. China is already testing the next version of urban transport. Meanwhile the U.S. is still arguing over whether trains should even exist. Hopefully Trump sees this and decides America should start building futuristic infrastructure again instead of just talking about it.

@AishaYesufu There are no indigenous land owners in FCT. All lands belong to the Federal govt. If the original owners were not compensated as planned, govt must do so now. The purpose of making Abuja and its environ the FCT had defeated the issue of omo onile. This is not Lagos.

@Midatlblog About 16 yrs after Fashola introduced Alausa power project. See what lack of continuity can do? The blind refusal to follow those who can see, is a sad commentary. In 2014, during inspection, he promised Adiyan ll would be completed in 2019; it was also abandoned until of recent.

Isolo Power Gen Limited has secured approval to develop a 9MW embedded power generation project in Lagos State under the latest licensing round issued by the Lagos State Electricity Regulatory Commission (LASERC). The company is one of 14 licensees recently approved by LASERC, but the only operator cleared under the embedded generation category for a 9MW project in this round. The facility will serve Isolo and the surrounding areas, supporting Lagos State’s ongoing push to decentralise electricity supply and improve power reliability across industrial and residential corridors. If completed, residents in the surrounding areas could enjoy 24/7 power. Lagosians find out which of the 14 Gencos your area falls under and follow them. 😊✌️ #Roadto24hourspower

@Mario9jaa @DipoPopson Very true. Not that Fashola wasn't good, David is just better. He's an engineer by profession who truly knows his onion. Apparently where he has an edge is the introduction of concrete on federal roads. Although, Fashola & Dangote might disagree cos of Apapa/ Oshodi exp way.

@SwedishRumble I concurred with your observation totally. But one more thing I also observe is lackadaisical attitude of our players and this has been going on for quite a while. The senior players choose when and when not to play to their strength and most matches we lost was due to this.

❗️Brentford played United and City away B2B. Think the difference between the games tells a lot about the state of things. 🔺At Old Trafford, Brentford had 54% possession. Jensen and Damsgaard had 170+ passes. Jensen completed 79 of 94. At the Ethiad, Brentford had 40% possession. Jensen completed 35 of 52 passes. 🔺Watching the games — the cause for the difference on the pitch is clear as day. City lifted up their back 4, took away space from Brentford in the build-up, and Brentford could not handle it. Brentford even pushed high with 4 players at times, but City still didn’t drop back. Jensen and co are good, not elite. He was in way over his head against City. Against United, Brentford sent up 1-3 players and United dropped deep with 7 players and Brentford played through our press with such an ease. 🔺But why do Man Utd play which such a deep line? It has nothing to do with the midfield. You cannot press with a deep line. As seen in the picture below, Utd is 7 against 3 in our own half, and Brentford is consequently 7 against 3 in their half. You cannot press with 3 players against 7. It has everything to do with the lack of pace at CB. This is a problem we have had for a long long time. It does not get the attention it deserves. 🔺I really try to like the idea of Carrick getting the job. Sometimes I am excited about it. But it’s 2026. We have three games left of a season without a knife against our throat. We play Sunderland. What does Carrick do? The first name put on the the team sheet is Harry Maguire and we play an extremely deep line. This is what we need to work on. It cannot be up for debate. Why is Lenny Yoro sat on the bench? Why doesn’t we even try to improve here? When we play this deep, the best we can hope on is counter attacks because we will never be able to establish sustained pressure. 🔺Brentford and Sunderland are good. But it will — not — be any different in Europe next season. Well organized teams like Bodo-Glimt, FC Copenhagen, Sparta Prague and the likes will have a field day, just like Brentford, Sunderland and Leeds. People think we will do well in the big group stage of the CL just because we play in the PL. Most European teams can’t handle the physical nature of PL clubs. That is why Newcastle and Tottenham are top in the CL while bottom in the PL. When we play such a deep line — we get nothing of that. ⚽️My bar is extremely low, for what I would settle for with a new manager. Looking around Europe the last decade, what works is possession focused 4-2-3-1, high line and high counter press. Give me that and I would take it. Why? We simply cannot waste time building teams in the wrong direction. We have done it since Mourinho, who was past it tactically when we got him. I cannot be in favor of appointing a manager who clearly favors this ultra deep line counter attack style.

A true representation is assured… and Kosofe is about to feel the difference. For years, leadership has been about staying connected to the people, understanding their realities, and delivering impact that can be seen and felt. That same spirit of service, accessibility, and performance is what we are taking to the House of Representatives. The people know us.
They know our journey.
They know our commitment.
And they know we have never disappointed them… we will not start now. This is beyond politics; it is about giving Kosofe a voice that truly represents the hopes, struggles, and aspirations of the masses. A representation rooted in experience, compassion, capacity, and results. Support Mayor Dele Oshinowo for Member, House of Representatives, Kosofe Federal Constituency. Stronger Representation; Stronger Kosofe! 💪🏽

WHY THE SENATE? I have spent years calling out the problems. Now I am seeking the platform to implement the solutions. From the outside, I could shout. From the inside, I can legislate. From the outside, I could demand. From the inside, I can enforce. A better Abuja will not build itself. It requires constitutional power

The British people are so gullible. They were deceived by @Nigel_Farage into voting for Brexit, which led to our exit from the European Union. He then disappeared, only to return with his anti-immigrant slogan. They fell for it again in the 7 May Election. The nation is reeling from the effects of our exit from the EU, and immigrants will feel the latest wave of Nigel Farage’s reform party. Racism is back.
