🚨Kratom ban PASSED in the House🍃 Kratom -- commonly called "gas station heroin" -- is an opioid that can harm the central nervous system and shut down breathing. It's even marketed to children in common flavors like cotton candy and gummy bears. It's time for the Democrat-led Senate to pass it and send it to the governor's desk before more Michigan lives are lost. @repcavitt

🚨UPDATE: Idaho HB 864 Kratom Ban Hearing Happened This Morning – But There's STILL Time! Submit Written Testimony & Email/Call Committee NOW (Testimonies will be heard until March 19th - 9 a.m. MT) IDAHO KRATOM UPDATE — URGENT ACTION NEEDED The hearing for HB 864 (kratom ban bill) was NOT concluded today. The chairman has agreed to continue hearing testimony tomorrow morning until 9:00 AM Mountain Time. This means there is still time to make your voice heard. WHAT’S AT STAKE If passed, HB 864 would classify kratom as a Schedule I substance, making it illegal in Idaho. This would: • Criminalize responsible adults • Remove access for people using kratom for pain management, recovery, or daily functioning • Set a precedent for other states WHAT YOU CAN DO RIGHT NOW - CONTACTS & LINKS IN COMMENTS IDAHO RESIDENTS (MOST IMPORTANT) Your voice carries the most weight. • Submit written testimony as soon as possible • Clearly state you are an Idaho resident and OPPOSE HB 864 • Briefly explain how kratom has helped you or why you support keeping it legal • Call committee members and ask them to vote NO • Send individual emails (not mass emails) asking them to vote NO and support regulation instead of a ban OUT-OF-STATE SUPPORTERS You still matter. • Encourage Idaho residents to act now • Share this post widely • Help others write testimony • Raise awareness — this could affect other states next SIMPLE MESSAGE Please vote NO on HB 864. Kratom should be regulated, not banned. DEADLINE Testimony continues until 9:00 AM MT tomorrow. This is a critical moment. The committee is closely divided, and additional testimony can make a real difference. Speak up. Share. 📢 OHIO ADVOCATES: WE ARE NOT DONE - Our KCPA bill (HB587) has its 3rd hearing Wednesday, March 18th! - Thank you for getting us here - Proponent Testimonies Needed! Urgent: Submit Proponent Testimony for HB587 to Counter Opponent Testimony (March 18 Hearing) The third hearing for HB587 is scheduled for March 18, and while this session is designated for opponent testimony, we need supporters to submit proponent testimony to balance the record and show lawmakers there is real public support for responsible kratom regulation. Even though opponents will be testifying in person, written proponent testimony still counts and becomes part of the official legislative record. You can submit written testimony through the official Ohio House committee testimony portal and by email — using the required witness form — just as you’ve done for prior hearings. Official Testimony Submission Portal You can submit your written testimony PDF directly through the Ohio House committee’s upload system for the hearing: Testimony Upload Portal (Official Ohio House) ohiohouse.gov/committees/agr… On that page you’ll: Enter your name and contact info Upload your testimony PDF Select Proponent as your stance Choose Written Only under testimony type This ensures your testimony is included with the hearing’s official documents. Required Witness Information Form In addition to uploading your testimony, you should complete the Witness Information Form and either upload it or include it with your email submission: Ohio House Witness Information Form ohiohouse.gov/files/committe… This form identifies who you are, your position (Proponent), and helps the committee process and categorize your testimony correctly. How to Submit (Step‑by‑Step) Write your testimony (see template below). Fill out the witness form and mark Proponent. Save both as PDFs. Upload your testimony PDF directly through the official portal above. Email both PDFs to the committee chair and cc the rest of the committee (contact info to be posted in the comments). Submitting both ways increases the chance your testimony gets included in the committee’s records and printed for lawmakers. Testimony Template (Copy & Paste) Subject: Proponent Testimony – HB587 (Kratom Consumer Protection Act) Dear Chairman and Members of the House Agriculture Committee, My name is [Your Name], and I am writing as a proponent of HB587. I respectfully urge you to support this bill because responsible regulation of natural kratom serves public health better than prohibition. [In one to three short paragraphs, share your story — for example:] How kratom has helped you (pain management, recovery support, quality of life) Why regulation improves safety and consumer protections Why restricting responsible adult access would harm Ohioans I believe that regulated access to natural kratom is safer and more effective than a ban, and that HB587 provides a thoughtful approach to consumer safety. Thank you for your consideration. Sincerely, [Your Name] [City, State] [Email] Science & Information Resources To strengthen your testimony, consider linking or mentioning reputable sources: American Kratom Association – Science & Studies americankratom.org/science Can You Submit Again? Yes. It’s normal and encouraged to submit proponent testimony for each committee hearing — even if opponents are testifying in person. Written testimony continues to be part of the legislative record and is read by committee members. I WILL POST CONTACTS IN THE COMMENTS: #kratom #kratomcommunity #kratomlife #kratomsaveslives #iamkratom #kratomusa #kratompowder #kratomtea #kratomvendor #kratomshop #wearekratom #keepkratomlegal #kratomlove #kratomlovers #kratomextract #kratomcapsules #kratomamerica #savekratom #kratomonline @LBlessing308 @lorenzforohio @TheKratomAssn @kratomscience @Kpascuch @misteaz79 @TauntonKratom @KratomGuyShow @TeamKratom @KratomTimes @i_love_kratom @MikeOdioso

🚨 Thank you, Ohio Advocates! HB 587 (KCPA) Momentum is Building - Let's keep this going! First of all, I want to thank everyone for participating in fighting the kratom ban. We are seeing the results of your hard work right now! It may seem like we've gotten to a good enough place but, let's not take a risk by failing to stay involved. I know it seems like sending the same emails over and over again but, this is the way that we can fight this. Here's how we can keep the momentum going: TL;DR: The 1st hearing for HB 587 (Kratom Consumer Protection Act) was Feb 25th. We need to flood the House Agriculture Committee with emails NOW to force a 2nd hearing and stop the Pharmacy Board’s push for a total ban. The Situation HB 587 regulates natural kratom (21+, testing, labeling). This is our best defense against a full state ban. The first hearing is done; now we must demand the 2nd Hearing (Proponent Testimony) be scheduled immediately. 3 Steps to Take Right Now Email the Committee Leadership Send a polite (and thankful) email to the Chair and Vice Chair today. Re-send every 4–5 days to stay at the top of their inbox. (I know it sounds crazy but, this is the way we keep momentum in the right direction. As far as we know, BOP is still pushing to schedule natural kratom right now.) Chair Roy Klopfenstein: rep82@ohiohouse.gov Vice Chair Johnathan Newman: rep80@ohiohouse.gov Subject: Support HB 587 – Schedule 2nd Hearing Soon! Dear Chair Klopfenstein and Vice Chair Newman, I am an Ohio resident and responsible kratom user. I strongly support HB 587 to regulate natural kratom safely. Please schedule the 2nd Hearing (proponent testimony) quickly so the public can share their support. This bill protects Ohioans while maintaining safe access. Thank you. 2. Sign Up for Committee Alerts Don't miss the 2nd hearing announcement. Sign up for the Agriculture Committee mailing list: Link: Sign Up Here URL: ohiohouse.gov/committees/agr… Contact Your Representative Find your specific State Rep at legislature.ohio.gov. Ask them to co-sponsor HB 587 and urge the Ag Committee to move it forward. URL: legislature.ohio.gov (I will provide a list of emails in the comments.) Why This Matters The Board of Pharmacy wants a ban. HB 587 provides regulation. Volume and persistence are the only things that move committee calendars. If we don't speak up now, we could lose the chance to later. Action Resources: Track the Bill: HB 587 Status URL: legislature.ohio.gov/legislation/13… Scientific Support: American Kratom Association URL: americankratom.org/science Have you sent your emails?
