So a ballot question so popular that it couldn't get enough signatures and one that was devised not out of necessity but of political expediency (ill-advised, if you ask me) and one that would only have stirred up hatred and division...fails.

@WadeMiller The holiday isn't even historically accurate. Many slaves were still owned after June 19, 1865. But they were exclusively owned by Native Americans. I guess it doesn't fit the narrative.

The left has used this to attack the actual Independence Day of this country.
Cornyn helped nationalize something that should have remained only a Texas holiday.
Instead of celebrating the actual emancipation on an appropriate day, Cornyn helped radical leftists activists to nationalize and hijack Juneteenth as their anchor from which to attack the founding and to attack the Independence Day of this country.
Another great example of why primary voters sent Cornyn packing.
