APVMA upgrades Bromoxynil to a schedule7 because home gardeners use it to commit suicide. What a time to be alive!

@agronomistag @Glenn_SoilAgro You don’t need research to sell either product. If i have a client asking for independent trial results i will just move on to their neighbour. “It’s only $10/ha works most times” combine that with a loss they can’t see or measure and it stokes a fair bit of fear spending
English

@Oscarthefarmer @farmersgrowit How many chemicals does the APVMA need to review/cancel/restrict before you fellas march. It’s always around the same a suite of new agency products hit the market. Completely unrelated though
English

@farmersgrowit Yep John shared it and I have too. Industry bodies aware and working on plans.
English

@agrobaz @cropmad @MattMcDonald013 Just pointing out that spraying 30L/ha with an 01 is in breach of the “legislated obligation to prevent product movement beyond your boundary”
Not my words 🧐
English

@AgroMerchandise @cropmad @MattMcDonald013 A bit rough whoever you are. I’m sure there’s only help intended.
English

@cropmad @MattMcDonald013 A bit like this one John? Before you sit on your high horse I’d suggest you find a soft landing

English

@MattMcDonald013 There still seem to be plenty in the industry who believe drift management practices aren’t applicable to them. 😬
Everyone needs to learn there is a legislated obligation to prevent product movement beyond your boundary. Loss of actives will be swift if we don’t.
English

@hirschirsch @bentags @Bayer4Crops They are getting concerned with stock carry-over. They’d like it in your shed not theirs
English

@bentags @Bayer4Crops Only two rains away from a fungicide and urea shortage
English

This may be the definition of both a supremely optimistic, but poorly targeted X advert.
It's a nice thought though, @Bayer4Crops

Oh dear, they have gone from screwing farmers to screwing shareholders 👀👀
Myriam Robin@myriamrobin
Elders shareholders voted against giving the CEO $1m worth of free shares so Elders' board has given him the balance in cash instead Tomorrow's column: afr.com/rear-window/el…
English

Anyone else had a gutsful with RRN numbers Syngenta are requesting to sell Reflex. Any other company would just adjust their label with the APVMA to reflect the increased recropping periods. Not force the customer and retailer to do the work to cover their arse! #justsellterrain
English

@agrobaz @gsandral @brill_ag @ipaddockapps @todd_venning @Tedthekelpie The $40/kg for the seed not only gets you the seed but the assurance that you’ll get exactly what and how much you ordered 🫡
English

@gsandral @brill_ag @ipaddockapps @todd_venning @Tedthekelpie Agree, however this trial had a solid fungicide program. Diamond without this would have been yuk. We observed this commercially. Many angles to think of when selecting a variety. In summary though, $40/kg plus for canola seed is hard to swallow imo.
English

Bugger paying $58/kg for something that yields the same as #outlaw
This IBC would be "worth" $37,000.
Don't mind seeding this hyper yielding OP variety at 6kgha so we can push the friendship on these dry seeding conditions

English

@ipaddockapps 118g/ha = 100g of the active ingredient pyroxasulfone per ha
English

@CropDoctor54 @mickswarb @WeedSmartAU @GRDCSouth @FMCANZ Bixlozone whilst new has a sister herbicide.Clomazone has been studied a lot for its drift properties. In notill instances they have found 43% less chemical in the soil than conventional systems. (Mills,Witt,Barrett). It behaves different with straw than in lab where VP is tested
English

@mickswarb @WeedSmartAU @GRDCSouth @FMCANZ It depends on what you’re talking about.
The Volatility Index of OW is nowhere near that of trifluralin or triallate.
To physically get somewhere else, OW requires drift - and that only occurs out of the nozzle, due to weather conditions & poor application. 👍
English

@TrengoveSam @agrobaz @robbert115 @Bayer4CropsAU Sounds like Sakura flow has trouble staying in suspension and Roberto forgot to shake the drum
English

@agrobaz @robbert115 @Bayer4CropsAU I think “Challenge” is aclonifen to make full comparison. Fair to say I’m surprised, what’s the hypothesis here Roberto?
English

@HarrisonSchust1 Say no more. Indigo had a terrible reputation after their last attempt in the crop protection space bringing snake oils to Aus
English

@Ashley_Jacobs92 @agrobaz @congreve_mark @robbert115 Cheap Chinese products usually get named and shamed. When results aren’t published it’s usually because one of the big players were poor performing
English

@agrobaz @congreve_mark @robbert115 Paraquat trial over here got done a few years back comparing 8 or so brands by a independent consultant group, let's just say paraquat ain't paraquat, and differences were huge, between 90% to 40% kill. Kept branding anonymous though.
English

@oldfield_ben @lingy_smith @Ashley_Jacobs92 @SteveLamb6 @CaptainCanola They are completely liable. Negligence very easy to proof in the case of a direct claim on the label that is contrary to the actual purity. It’s their defence mechanism to make it seem otherwise. They won’t pay up unless you force their hand. No one pays if you ask nicely
English

@lingy_smith @Ashley_Jacobs92 @SteveLamb6 @CaptainCanola Canola seed game must be a bloody good industry to be in... charge a fortune for a so called premium product, then when a balls up with seed quality occurs they don't have to compensate.... its complete rubbish
English

The team from Mullewa Farm Supplies checking out this plot of the new Regiment XC canola handling the tough conditions at our Innovation trial Tenindewa very well it should have a good fit for this area @CaptainCanola

English

@WaddiPark @Steinohrt What about if your free agronomist tells you? What’s that saying about a free lunch?
English

@Steinohrt That is true. Was more to answer any questions of how it works and why use it.
English

But the sales margins in Terrad’or are far too good not to add with Glyphosate
Mark Congreve@congreve_mark
👍 Glyphosate needs days to fully translocate. Best thing to add to gly...is more gly. (And drop partners / adjuvants that reduce uptake & translocation). Becomes more important as resistance emerges. Gly alone, fb everything else in the double knock needs to become the new norm.
