Spent the day yesterday with @MarkGladyator at the Watertown #answerplot evaluating roots and stand ratings for #cornrootworm injury in various trait and insecticide treatments. Really interesting to try and use the root/node injury scale. @SDSUExt_Insects

Spent time with my weed science Extensionistas. One take away from a great herbicide resistance update: We need to kill EVERY weed twice because any weed that produces seed is a threat to ALL herbicides.

@BcCotten @CROPLANseed @SDSUExt_Insects Oh yeah you can see feeding on the brace roots and some feeding below ground too on the SS. Definitely a lot of ‘selection pressure’ this year!

@Agronomy_Jacks @CROPLANseed @SDSUExt_Insects How bad is the feeding on the SS? I wouldn’t be surprised to see SS fail in less than 5 years if guys only rely on traits.
