Some of the achievements I’m most proud of has nothing to do with flexing and flashy things. A few years ago I helped fund a hospital ward in Jinja, Uganda. I’ve also been involved in building two schools there. Seeing the impact these projects have on people’s lives has been incredibly meaningful. I visit Uganda regularly and I’ll be heading back again in a few months with a team to continue the work. Business success is great, but using it to create opportunities and improve lives is what really matters.

That's interesting - the entire video actually came from the exact opposite context - I'd been reviewing so many phones not available in the US and racing about silicon carbon batteries (including the OP15 that I daily) that commenters started to wonder why Samsung, Apple, etc weren't also using the tech and seemed so stagnant. There were literal memes about it.

This whole Si/C battery issue after MKBHD's video just shows the lack of cutting edge tech exposure Western reviewers have. They also don't want to acknowledge such innovations and their entire world revolves around Apple, Google or Samsung... Sad state of affairs..

Professor, you really need to understand how ERA electricity pricing works. One meter has already exhausted its lifeline units for the month, while the other most likely hasn’t. The first 15 units are charged at a subsidised rate of UGX 250 per unit. Once those are used up, units 16 to 80 kWh are billed at the normal tariff of UGX 756.2 per unit. If you actually want better value for money, the smart move is to exploit the cooking tariff. For units 81 to 150 kWh, the rate drops significantly to about UGX 412 per unit. I’ve been doing this for a while now, and the difference in units received is noticeable. Also note that each meter attracts its own fixed service charges (roughly UGX 3,500). If you don’t buy power in a given month, these charges don’t disappear, they are carried forward and deducted the next time you purchase electricity.
