@JamesMelville Who on earth do these people think they are, the suggestion is batshit bonkers. “You don’t even need to know your neighbour to use his car”. So your neighbour goes out to use his car for work , and it’s gone. Eh hello do these people have brains.

@BladeoftheS What an absolute arsehole - these people are not in the real world. Where does he get the figure of thousands of pounds a month. I currently get carers allowance of a massive £354/month. However that stops soon when I get the enormous state pension.

Conservative MP Mel Stride claims PIP benefit is thousands of pounds per month. No it is an absolute maximum of £780 a month, and most people only get about £250. Meanwhile he claims £1,250 a month in rent on his expenses Lying, thieving b******

@hughosmond We fitted our 7.4kW solar system with a battery in 2022. In the first year between reduction in our imported electricity combined with our smart energy generation sold back to the grid we saved a total of £1500 in our first full year, in Scotland. 8 year pay back. Then free

The average solar panel installation costs around £7,000 (Which Mag) and, to be able to use power at night when you need it, you need a battery for around £5,000. It could "save" you around £660 per year at current prices. (This claim itself is open to question but it's industry standard so I'll leave it) The cost to borrow the money to do this would be around £1,000 per year (8.25%) so you'd lose money for ever. For ever. If you bought it from savings, you'd lose about £600 per year in lost interest so a net surplus of £60 per year, so break even would be well over 100 years. And it basically won't work between November and February in the UK or when it's cloudy for extended periods, so you'll still need 100% grid back up (or a generator burning fossil fuel). Anyone not understand why green grifters like @DaleVince need Government to use laws and taxes to force people to buy this miss-sold technology that is wholly unfit for purpose in the UK? Anyone not understand that attempting to use it to replace fossil fuels for grid-scale generation is not only insane (given UK winter performance) but also entirely uneconomic? @Ed_Miliband Anyone not understand that in addition there is the multi-hundred billion pound cost of changing the grid to accept solar farm power, which is unaffordable? @RachelReevesMP

That’s the Scottish first minister I’m watching digging a huge hole diving in and then pulling all the earth on top of himself isn’t it ? This is excruciating to watch 🙄

@KarenMc87769074 Sorry to hear this. My wife had a similar experience last year. I emailed the Health Secretary, Michael Matheson, who took it up with the relevant health board. In response the health board said they would set up an alert for the Parkinson’s team at the hospital and train staff.

A humbling experience to be present at the Cenotaph today for Remembrance Sunday, and to lay a wreath on behalf of the SNP and Plaid Cymru. As ever, I was thinking of my late Grandad and the sacrifices his generation made during WW2 to protect our freedoms. Lest we forget.

@AgentP22 Absolute disgrace, no respect for the fallen. Sauntered up to lay the wreath, didn’t sing the hymn or national anthem. SNP creating division again. Embarrassment for Scotland.

Stephen Flynn no doubt deliberately holding his poppy wreath upside down. If he didn't want to be there he shouldn't have gone.
