@flocornillet @wartranslated No, it isn’t. Trump’s an idiot, but that type of infrastructure provides power to the war machine. It has always been and will always be a legitimate target. In total war, if you have the tools to do so, turning off the enemy lights is pretty close to job one.

Trump threatens Iran with the destruction of all power stations, oil fields, and Kharg Island, through which about 90% of the country's oil exports pass, if the Strait of Hormuz is not "immediately opened".

@candidpersona @Aviation_Intel @TrentTelenko Depends on how bad the Chinese economy and population decline gets. If it keeps on worsening, they’re very likely to lash out. They’re certainly building the forces to do it. I hope it never happens because as you said, it will be incredibly messy for all

@AlanNummy @Aviation_Intel @TrentTelenko We will see about this, won’t we? By the way, I don’t even believe the Chinese would be stupid enough to start a war over Taiwan. They are far too forward thinking and war is too messy. They will unify peacefully

850 Tomahawks slightly exceeds the Operation Iraqi Freedom air campaign. So, these are not numbers out of line with past usage. Given that Iran's integrated air defense has collapsed. There is not a strong case for heavy usage downstream. Buffs can do it cheaper with JDAMs

@AlanNummy @Aviation_Intel @TrentTelenko Also, this idea that China needs nuke parity with the US to defend its interest is ridiculous. The US will sustain so much losses in the opening hours of the conflict that it is the US who will first use nukes. This is simply not an acceptable risk.

@candidpersona @Aviation_Intel @TrentTelenko Are you so dense that you don't see what China's doing in the WestPac? Japan and SK do, that's why they're rapidly building up to meet it. They'll fight for Taiwan because they're next and they know it.

@AlanNummy @Aviation_Intel @TrentTelenko You really are delusional. What support would there be for this war? How many Americans can locate Taiwan on a map? The US hasn’t attacked a nuclear power before. Not even North Korea. It won’t do it. Taiwan is an island. Extremely easy to blockade.

@candidpersona @Aviation_Intel @TrentTelenko There’s no telling what Trump will do, but every single other US administration will absolutely go to war if China were to attack Taiwan and pretty much every Westpac democracy would join us. They’ve been a part of one greater east Asia coprosperity sphere and don’t want another

@candidpersona @Aviation_Intel @TrentTelenko Oh hell, there’s that stupid risk nuclear war thing again. China’s nuclear Arsenal is incredibly small in comparison to ours. They are the ones that wouldn’t risk a nuclear exchange with us, not the other way around.

@shetlandsnilsen @PolymarketIntel The drone interceptor requires a human and only works against slow targets like Shaheeds. C-RAM can engage anything from a mortar shell to a supersonic cruise missile. I don’t intend to disparage the interceptor uav, they are a great tool but the capabilities are more limited

@RobinM05223451 @xAviation I have a fondness for the legacy Hornet, but the only way it wins against the 15 is when rules are in place that limit the Eagles’ ability to exploit it’s full potential.

@xAviation That's a Legacy F-18. Face to face in a dogfight? F-18 wins, hands down. Even against the F-15 the F-18 wins rather easily. Against the F-16 below 400 knots? Again, advantage F-18. The only advantage the F-14 has is the ability to choose whether or not to engage at close range.

@mpharjo77 @akan4343 @korkuvetitremee Are you talking to me? If so, you misread my post. I’m saying it doesn’t take a blackbird to evade a missile. Regular fighters do it all the time. The only difference is they have to maneuver whereas a 71 just had to hit the gas.

According to Daily Mail, one of former First Lady Jill Biden’s Secret Service agents assigned to her detail shot himself while escorting her through Philadelphia Airport earlier today. An ambulance was called to the scene and seen leaving, per reports. It’s yet unclear what led to the shooting, but the shooting appears to be accidental.

Reportedly, the USS Gerald R. Ford will head to the U.S. for some serious repairs shortly. In other words, it appears that a laundry fire rendered the largest and most modern aircraft carrier in the world inoperable. Nicely played, @CENTCOM . 👌🤦

@mtmalinen @Rubyshaw1974 @CENTCOM Our navy used to have some of the best damage control in the world. Just look at WW2 are the carrier fires during Vietnam. Did we lose that, or did Ford being out for so long lead to failures of equipment that hindered firefighting operations or the ability to segregate the fire

@mtmalinen @Rubyshaw1974 @CENTCOM I posted it in another thread how I fought a lint/ductwork fire in a textile facility. We arrived in daylight on one day and left in daylight on the next - and that was on land. I have no doubt that they had a ductwork related fire. It does, however, raise concerns.
