@DLanza97708 @BladeoftheS With all due respect, your country has way bigger problems. When DJT is defeated at the election in November, then see whether you have any bandwidth to be commenting about the UK.

Tommy Robinson deleted this Tweet, as it accidentally had his lawyer telling him in the bottom right corner that he will no longer represent him. You know what to do.

Pass a short Bill closing Twitter down in the U.K. @Keir_Starmer? There is more than enough reason to do so. One of the richest men in the world is using his platform to cause serious harm - putting lives & communities at risk. @YvetteCooperMP @lisanandy

This appears to be a lynch mob surrounding and attacking a black man in Manchester. Any politician who doesn’t unequivocally condemn this, keeps trying to ‘explain’ it, and uses the ‘enough is enough’ phrase, is guilty. Arrest them all. Zero tolerance.

@BBCMOTD The commentary included the most appalling use of English, which said that the match could be expected to ",,,,,,produce the fewest amount of goals......" Wrong on so many levels - why don't you use commentators who can speak the language properly?

One of the most awkward, jaw-dropping things I've ever seen on TV 😲 Felt sorry for Alison Hammond though 🙁

@DAaronovitch 3/3+ ....not to pay license fees, and we have an unpopular Tory gov't who could well slash funding further, leading to only the direr elements of the BBC remaining. Take Care who you listen to and support.

@DAaronovitch 3/3 And what would life be like without the BBC's better content? would be like. I value BBC4's content very highly indeed, and it (as just 1 example) would be a serious and very sad loss - and one cannot dismiss that sort of outcome when people are being encouraged .....

@DAaronovitch 2/3 stir things up at a frenzied pace. This evening's news reports detail a legal letter from the teenager stating that reports in The Sun are untrue - so the whole thing might be nearer to fiction than truth.

@DAaronovitch Whatever anyone thinks of the BBC, I believe a primary element in this situation is the Murdoch organisation's (and others') commercial interest in denigrating the BBC's reputation. This has already spread ill-will, and this case seems well-designed to press populist buttons 1/3

"I don't think this report is the truth" Former Tory MP Lord Jackson tells #PoliticsLive the Privileges Committe is as a "sham court" - there were people there "out to get" Boris Johnson and this is "revenge for Brexit" #PoliticsLive bbc.in/3Pftomb

@BBCPolitics @peteratcmc Not trained in law, ennobled by Johnson. “Jackson was elected President of the University of London Union for the 1988–89 academic year. During his tenure as president, he faced a no-confidence motion in January 1989, and resigned before he was required to leave office.

@BBCPolitics @BBCPolitics why do you keep giving these people airtime, at least without a counter argument? The members of the committee are having to have security detail because you and other media are giving people like this such a high profile. Stop it please.

Where the magic happened! The Specials recorded Ghost Town in the basement of the house on the right. John Rivers' studio in Woodbine St, Leamington Spa was also used by Felt, Swell Maps, The Pastels, The Loft, Mighty Mighty and many more

The Specials released their era-defining single Ghost Town on this day in 1981. This brilliant illustration by Ralph Steadman was published in the Christmas edition of the NME that year

@richardtibs The same thought occured to me. However, in the case of the DB mission it was a means of destroying industry supporting the Nazi war effort - and the allies did not destroy it as an occupying force. #differentKettleOfFish

I am in no way pro Russian in this current conflict but I am somewhat bemused by the suggestion that the destruction of the dam in Ukraine is war crime when only weeks ago we were honouring the pilots who were involved in the Dambusters raid. Does that make them war criminals?
