@The_Socko @emmybooth Just on groceries alone (because I place orders for collection so it's easy to track), in 2020 I used to spend £50-£55 for 2-3 weeks of groceries (I live alone). In 2026 I spend £85-£95 for exactly the same order.

I am so fed up with bills I can’t justify and nor should they 2 years ago £30 a month for my water last year £65 and one year later a 25% increase now £81 a month????! I feel like refusing until wages go up by 25% too - council tax nearly £300 a month this is fucking insane

@RockLeeSmile Astonishing how many people are reading this and assuming it's arguing in favour of watering down game content to make it inoffensive. I thought it was pretty clear that it's about the "only the kind of games I like should be allowed" attitude that's very visible online.

When people are doing a "gaming discourse", it is useful to look at who thinks games should be more inclusive and who think they should be less. To the people arguing less, why?

@Toadsanime Or to put it another way: it doesn't mean being liked by everyone, it means looking after the people who hate you as well as the people who like you (if there are any of those left in his case)

@Toadsanime Yes! He's the national leader for everyone in the country but he's interpreting that as meaning "I have to avoid displeasing anyone" when what it really means is "I have to do the best thing for as many people as I can, even the ones who disagree with how I'm doing it"

He doesn't get it. He can't get over the idea that, yes, he needs to lead for everyone in the country regardless of political affiliation, but that that is different than fencesitting and standing for nothing policy-wise in the middle. Why can't he reckon that? What's the plan?

@St1ka Absolutely. KOTOR 2 offered perspectives on the Force and the Jedi that nothing else even considered. Darth Nihilus remains my favourite Sith - someone who is horrifyingly powerful, but also at the same time a pathetic victim of his own weakness and need.

The best KOTOR game by far, imo.

Next finish: Forbidden Solitaire Probably the best of the solitaires developed (co-developed, in this case) by Grey Alien. It makes some nice adjustments to the solitaire mechanics and the whole 90s lost media aesthetic and frame story is a fun & atmospheric addition. Enjoyed it

@YouTube @YouTubeCreators @YouTubeGaming It looks like my channel is flagged as "for kids" even though I specifically have always declined that option both globally and on individual videos. Is there anything you can do to fix this? It has completely ruined my metrics.

@GreyAlien That must be a surreal feeling, to be so close to something that could be life changing but also might not be, and there's no way to know until you get there

In 5 days we launch Forbidden Solitaire, our 17th game, and it's a weird feeling because either: a) It's going to flop (I don't think it will) b) It'll do OK (and we'll carry on) c) It'll do awesome (and our lives will change forever)

Love Visions of Mana but it's got entirely too many side quests. Especially when the reward is only money. XP

@LadyPelvic Agreed! About halfway through the game I started just ignoring all the side quests. Between not giving you much of a reward and usually not even being an interesting task, they soon felt like pure padding. The game loses nothing without them.

@The_Socko My guess is it's either (1) people think their life is much more interesting to other people than it is, or (2) they can come back to these posts as mementos in years to come. Probably 1, but generously *maybe* 2 in some cases 😂

Why do people do this on Facebook when they're on holiday? It's not just me being grumpy - nobody actually cares, right?

@interjace I think it's just basic courtesy and consideration to assume that someone doesn't want their personal info revealed

Always makes me a bit nervous when someone in chat points out they remember me from something and they want to make themselves known by hinting what they know about me I can't blame them for not knowing I dont want to be open about my private life but

Quick request to anyone who knows a streamer IRL and finds them on Twitch: Please don’t share personal details about them in chat (like where they went to school, etc.). I know you mean well, but that kind of info can put a streamer's privacy at risk.
