Poetry. “There is no ribbon-cutting. No news conference. Yet, in a matter of weeks, tens of thousands of Canadian farmers and ranchers deploy billions of dollars, put enormous personal and financial capital at risk, and set in motion the production of food that Canadians and much of the world depend on.”

Yes - the Chief Justice was appointed to the SCC by @stephenharper Yes - the Chief Justice has clearly shown himself to have a partial view of the Freedom Convoy and he cannot distance himself from that. Yes - the Chief Justice demonstrated partiality when positioning his Court in favor of so called "vaccine mandates". Yes - there is a clear perception of bias and he should recuse himself. Nobody can be surprised that this very arrogant man will not recuse himself. Wagner held a series of covert meetings with then AG David Lametti during Covid. You would have to be an idiot to imagine that the discussions did not range, shall we say, too broadly as to necessary judicial outcomes. Its not unreasonable to suggest that Wagner has an "understanding" with Carney and Fraser that the SCC should overturn the FCoA and protect the PM's ability to abuse the Emergencies Act. Its not unreasonable to suggest that the SCC will overturn the FCoA in a majority decision and that the Chief Justice will dissent to "preserve the illusion of his impartiality" Is the fix in?

@KatlynHarrison @sunlover500 @MarkJCarney has been saying since the election campaign that our long standing relationship with the US is over trying to convince the public it is because of Trump. Carney is the problem, not Trump

On Monday the Prime Minister said that a trade deal with the US could be hammered out "within days" if the US came to the table. Well - here's the US saying that they want to talk. What new excuse will we find next week for why that can't happen? #cdnpol nationalnewswatch.com/2026/04/30/tru…

Forever Canada could have faked hundreds of thousands of signatures. We'll never know. My dog could have signed their petition. They didn't check ID. 1 person could have signed 100 times. People not even from Alberta could have signed theirs. Elections Alberta only checked 10% or less of theirs and deemed all of them 'good'. Its shady AF.

Bigger question is… WHY would Mark Carney straight-up LIE about this on live TV? He denied EVER meeting the Jiangsu Commerce Council of Canada (JCCC). Yet here he is, front and centre, smiling in the official group photo with them. This isn’t a “memory lapse.” This is deliberate. Why hide a meeting with a major Chinese business council while he’s Prime Minister? What exactly is Carney trying to bury? Canadians deserve the truth. 🔥🇨🇦

Testified before the parliamentary agriculture committee in Ottawa yesterday: “PM Carney’s claim that our relationship with the U.S. is now a weakness is a poor choice of words. The only reason he said that is to score domestic political points, to the detriment of our country’s long-term prosperity.”

🚨 Federal watchdog on the brink of collapse. Toronto Star reports: Canada’s Public Sector Integrity Commissioner says her office is overwhelmed and “on the verge of collapse” from a flood of complaints about wrongdoing in the federal government. Only 9 investigators. Skyrocketing cases. Funding requests ignored. This is the office supposed to protect whistleblowers and investigate misconduct at the highest levels. When even the accountability system is drowning… what does that say about Liberal run Ottawa right now? Canadians deserve real oversight not a broken watchdog. Share if this concerns you. Tag your MP. 🇨🇦 #GovAccountability #Whistleblowers

Today in QP PM Carney said: "Mr. Speaker, in the face of a tariff war, and in the face of an actual war, the government has reduced the deficit by $11 billion." This is a blatant lie. PM Carney has done nothing but increase the deficit. Where have the CBC "fact checkers" gone?

Unbelievable collapse, unprecedented in the country’s history. He will go down as the idiot king. In business and politics lack of executional skills does extreme damage!

For the 4th time this week, Liberals have voted to shut off the cameras. This time, the Science and Research Committee was debating a motion to study the brewing $200 million well-connected Liberal insider gravel pit space pad scam scandal. #cdnpoli

Even if Carney were to clear the legal right-of-way for a new pipeline to the Pacific, there won't be new oil production to fill it. His carbon taxes, Net Zero rules, and the Pathways CCS project costs wipe out the margins for oil companies to increase production. Carney knows this. #AlbertaIndependence

IMHO, @nspector4 is absolutely right. If those discussions go to a "worst case," that is a moment where we will see a catalytic shift in opinion. I also note @bruceanderson relies on inferior polling. @planetjanetyyc has called the numbers as of this week - see 2/2 1/2
