NEW: 🇺🇸🇮🇷Trump rewrites the deal with Iran at the last moment, per Axios US President Donald Trump has made amendments to the draft agreement with Iran, which his own negotiators have already agreed with Tehran. According to Axios, Trump demanded to tighten the clauses on the nuclear program and the deadlines for the export of enriched uranium. This is another delay, which shows that Washington cannot impose its conditions, and Tehran is in no hurry to capitulate.

The British, who had signed numerous deals with the Nazis, abandoned Poland at the start of the German invasion, then again at the end of the War. During the 1944 uprising, the Polish Home Army fought the Nazis in Warsaw hoping for Allied rescue. While the Polish government-in-exile was based in London, the British stood by and watched them being wiped out.

Decades telling British people that having kids is low status. Telling girls that to get pregnant is the worst thing that can happen. Social pressure to get half of all young people to go to university to then become heavily indebted, with it being a total waste of 3-5 years of their prime years. Decades terrifying people that the world is going to burn up. Decades telling people the world is overpopulated and therefore immoral to have children—but this doesn’t apply to non Western countries. Decades of an economic system that prioritises putting people in work over family formation. Yeah. Guess what? People stop having babies.

I will upset some by what I say next but it must be said. The regulatory bodies are acting beyond their powers - those terms "patient safety", "public safety" and "public confidence" are necessarily vague. We were taught in medical school about autonomy and patient consent. No bureaucratic organisation has the legal right to sanction doctors who were not willing to act against their conscience. Every action was individual. Every one played defense. A collective was needed to challenge the attacks on free speech. Along came the Palestinian genocide. Doctors now sanctioned for speaking against the mass slaughter of civilians and our colleagues. The issue is the same - free speech. It was an honour to be present to witness Dr Michael McConville, @reasonoverfear, deliver a powerful rebuttal of the charges made against him at the Medical Council inquiry this morning. It was also a moving moment to stand among members of the public who responded with sustained applause and a standing ovation as he turned on his heel and exited as soon as he delivered his statement, alongside three other doctors also brought before the council because of their courage in breaking the State’s omertà to inform the public about what they knew to be harmful policies and procedures during covid. I travelled to Dublin today as a small act of solidarity with Dr McConville, who was my doctor for many years. In my experience, he was an exceptionally kind, caring and dedicated GP.
