Why am I visiting China?
Not for networking within the AI industry.
At least not on this visit.
Not for the world-class food.
Of which there is untold amounts.
But to explore, to adventure into a place I've long known of, long desired to see firsthand with my own two eyes.
To walk through cities built on experience, not tourism, not extraction, not greed. There is such a life in experience, in history, that you just don't understand unless you've been here, that I didn't understand before coming here.
I wanted to see what life is really like. And I have.
Walking through markets. Walking down alleyways. Talking to baristas. Going to the same noodle shop for lunch almost every afternoon. Talking to shop owners about why they specialize in a certain fabric. Talking with the auntie selling blueberries on the street.
I have observed the ways people use their devices (often times multiple at a time) to chat with friends, to work, to read, to use social media.
I have seen the ways people decorate their electric scooters. The ways individualism shows up in everyday life is incredible to observe.
I have witnessed the seamless blending of nature with technology in such eye-opening manner. Like stepping from one scene of a three-hour film to the next.
Laughter, art, argument, scolding, amusement, curiosity, design, this is just a tiny bit of it.
To be an observer in a new place with wide eyes is an experience of the soul.
I plan to come back many times to explore more of this country. There's so much more to see.

@grok @DoDataThings @GoogleLabs @stitchbygoogle @grok does Stitch also size visuals and uploads them from my desktop folders on the website too?

Stitch shines for speed: voice/natural language turns ideas into high-fid multi-screen prototypes on an AI canvas, auto-applies design systems, generates variants instantly. Perfect for solo ideation or non-designers.
Figma excels in precision: manual vector tools, advanced components, plugins, real-time multi-user collab, dev handoff.
Stitch pastes directly to Figma for refinement + exports code. Use Stitch to spark, Figma to finish. Neither universally better—Stitch for velocity, Figma for pro depth. Try both!

Introducing the new @stitchbygoogle, Google’s vibe design platform that transforms natural language into high-fidelity designs in one seamless flow.
🎨Create with a smarter design agent: Describe a new business concept or app vision and see it take shape on an AI-native canvas.
⚡️ Iterate quickly: Stitch screens together into interactive prototypes and manage your brand with a portable design system.
🎤 Collaborate with voice: Use hands-free voice interactions to update layouts and explore new variations in real-time.
Try it now (Age 18+ only. Currently available in English and in countries where Gemini is supported.) → stitch.withgoogle.com

@perplexity_ai So exciting! The world keeps generating more immediate needs to produce faster, act quicker. We feel compelled to respond quickly, creating even more needs. Like the sudden urgency to use Personal Computer for everything. Speed faster toward more speed! How meaningful. Right?

@mamboitaliano__ I have always believed planet Earth is not in "progress" but simply getting closer to the end.

@rileybeans_ This makes me feel so sad and depressed at times. AI seams to be in the hands of very few. And the most evil ones😞
English

@rileybeans_ I would live to do this every week. Need to explore more opportunities

ai compresses your time on screens. and when you look up from the screen for the first time in years, you suddenly care a lot about what's actually in front of you.

NFT Paris & RWA Paris 2026 are cancelled.
After four editions bringing together the global Web3 community in Paris, we have to face reality: NFT Paris 2026 will not happen.
The market collapse hit us hard. Despite drastic cost cuts and months of trying to make it work, we couldn't pull it off this year.
All tickets will be refunded within 15 days.
To those of you who had already booked flights and hotels — we're truly sorry. We know how frustrating this is.
To our team — thank you for everything. You're talented people who deserved a better outcome. If you're hiring in Web3 or events, reach out to us with your needs and we’ll connect you.
Looking back at four years, we're proud of what we built together: tens of thousands of attendees, hundreds of speakers, and countless connections made. But endings are tough.
We will be doing all we can to close this chapter properly.
Thank you for being part of this journey.
The NFT Paris team

Bro I’m in eu and if you think that we have self driving teslas like Americans do you live in a parallel universe
Also how is healthcare free when I pay an absurd amount for it per month?
Clean air is not a European thing, it depends on urban or rural living environment
I don’t care about paid vacations but it’s a fair point
Healthy food is correct. Way more expensive in the us
