@nichols_senator and @josh_idaho passed H 558 and now heads to the governor. Federal survivor benefits earned by a parent should go to the child, not the government. This practice was ended in the state by @AlexAdamsRPh last year.

Mississippi is proud to participate in the Trump Administration’s pilot initiative, “A Home for Every Child.” This initiative directly supports @POTUS @realDonaldTrump and @FLOTUS @MELANIATRUMP’s Executive Order, “Fostering the Future for American Children and Families.” It focuses on ensuring that a foster home is available for every child in the system. It reflects a belief that government should focus on the things that matter most: protecting children, strengthening families, and ensuring that systems work effectively for the people they serve. Mississippi looks forward to our partnership.

Governor Jeff Landry, Alex J. Adams, Assistant Secretary for the Administration for Children and Families (ACF), and DCFS Secretary Rebecca Harris announced Louisiana’s participation in “A Home for Every Child.”

.@ACFHHS eliminated close to 36,000 pages of obsolete regulatory guidance — clearing outdated rules, reducing red tape, and giving states and providers more flexibility to protect children. @ACF_Adams: “@POTUS’s regulatory reform agenda is unparalleled in U.S. history…ACF has brought our regulatory dark matter to light.”
