Exactly. We need child care policy that recognizes no family is the same and gives parents more flexibility to choose based on their individual needs. That’s why Republicans modernized and multiplied three key child care tax credits, including the employer provided tax credit, in the Working Families @TaxCuts Act. Today, I signed an executive order to ensure survivor benefits belonging to children in foster care are protected for the child — not used by the government to reimburse the cost of care. I also signed a joint proclamation with the Trump Administration affirming our shared commitment to building a system where every child has the opportunity to grow up in a safe, stable, and loving home through the “A Home for Every Child” initiative. These actions will help ensure young Hoosiers have the support they need as they prepare for adulthood.

Last week in Toledo, Ohio, @SecKennedy and @ACF_Adams visited Head Start Program, the Clever Bee Academy, where they spent time with students and participated in a roundtable discussion with staff and parents on healthy eating and physical activity. Sec. Kennedy and Assistant Secretary Adams also announced that @ACFHHS is awarding Clever Bee Academy a $30,000 supplemental nutrition grant to make sure Head Start is also a healthy start!
