What do you think would happen if there were a large established Military force sitting in Mexico that was armed trained and equipped by the Chinese or Russians with goal of taking Texas? @johnmilbank3 A bit of an underestimate. Warner, North, Cottrell, Conway, Chessun are all quite solid Catholics, though all ineligible for Canterbury. Lake and Usher on the high side. I think they should skip the diocesans and give it to Andrew Rumsey of Ramsbury.

Of the 42 diocesan bishops, I hear that only 3 are really high church. A disgraceful situation, engineered by Carey and Welby. Below episcopal level, the high church proportion is much higher. It is the high church turn for the primacy and the new primate should redress balance.

The Church won’t like this but it’s important to note that amidst the undoubted need for structures to change, the root of a lot of the Church’s problems are based in the personalities of the leadership. In that they are increasingly monochrome: this story speaks a thousand words
