Alec Baldwin has announced some sad news; his luggage didn’t make it from Spain to New York in a timely manner. Unfortunately, the bag is languishing at JFK airport. He can’t afford to replace the items in the bag nor can he drive himself to the airport to retrieve it. Someone, help!

Previous administrations were intelligent enough to build a coalition before starting a war, rather than blindsiding their allies and demanding help to clean up the mess they created.

SECRETARY RUBIO: Why are we in NATO? You have to ask that question. Why do we send trillions of dollars and have all of these American forces stationed in the region, if in our time of need, we won't be allowed to use those bases?

@michael0no @TMTLongShort @balajis I don't think Canada can reverse course to actually manufacture within Canada & maintain their Green policies. I hope they change course but I don't think the ruling class will allow such pain all at once I suspect they will maintain course & the pain will be slow & over years

@AlexDelarge73 @TMTLongShort @balajis Canada is likely to reverse course right about now. Existential and finally imminent threat of sharp reduction of us imports should suffice. Carney is playing a long game. His hourglass runs out faster than thought.

@balajis believes that Canada has already effectively surrendered to the Chinese. He believes Europe will fast follow as Carney is looked up to as the smartest politician on the left. When Trump crushes Canada into the USMCA renegotiation and Xi does nothing to throw Carney a lifeline out of fear I hope Balaji reconsiders his blackpill posture. Yes you should look at the world clinically and without emotion. But you should also realize the system is reflexive and after decades of retarded politicians there is an incentive for non-retards like Bessent to step up and fix things before the homeland is lost. I hope one day soon Miami will be a more compelling outpost than Singapore 🫡

To my fellow Canadians: will you keep boycotting America? I will, it’s worth the effort not to buy American products, but rather invest in Made in Canada. I will never step foot on US soil with this current administration. I hope many Canadians follow suit. 🍁They lost billions and will continue to lose billions of dollars as Canadians take a stand & push back. 🇨🇦

For the record. Mark Carney’s address to the Economic Club of New York was a disciplined, strategically framed intervention that should resonate with business leaders on both sides of the border. In tone and content, it was exactly the kind of message markets look for from a G7 head of government: pro‑growth, geopolitically literate, and grounded in concrete avenues for investment and partnership. Carney’s central assertion – that a strong Canada can “help make America great again” – recasts the Canada–U.S. relationship in explicitly pragmatic terms. Rather than positioning Canada as a counterweight to U.S. economic nationalism, he presented it as a force multiplier for the United States’ own strategic objectives in energy security, supply chains, AI infrastructure, and re‑industrialization. That framing is shrewd. It acknowledges the realities of a more assertive U.S. trade and industrial policy while offering a collaborative model that can lower costs, reduce risk, and accelerate execution for American firms and investors. The speech was also notable for its business‑ready specificity. By highlighting Canada’s role as a reliable provider of energy, critical minerals, food, advanced manufacturing, and clean power, Carney translated geopolitical themes into investable opportunities. His emphasis on rule‑of‑law institutions, regulatory predictability, and a growing network of trade and investment partnerships positioned Canada as an attractive platform for capital seeking both exposure to North American growth and insulation from global volatility. Equally important was the tone: confident but not complacent, aligned with U.S. strategic priorities without being deferential. Carney managed to speak fluently to Trump’s “America First” agenda while articulating Canada’s own interests with clarity and self‑respect. For corporate leaders, financiers, and policymakers, the result was a reassuring message: Ottawa understands the new landscape, is prepared to work within it, and is focused on building a North American framework that can support durable growth, competitiveness, and security over the coming decade.
