@thomaschattwill Part of the privilege of being American is not having to constantly worry about global instability. If your country’s general electorate is forced to track world events just to feel secure, something has gone wrong.

A lot of the problems in the world right now can be explained by this video. For one thing, it’s a big reason why the US government is so unaccountable to public opinion. These are *college students.* A significant amount of the country is totally checked out and comfortable enough not to think it matters.

It’s nearly impossible for children to buy alcohol - why? Because it’s regulated: If a shop sells to under 18s they lose their licence Drugs on the other hand… That’s why states with legal cannabis use tend to see much lower youth rates of than countries with prohibition.

just looking at what expensive houses in other states look like out of curiosity and there is some horrifying stuff. See a "luxury" house in vegas but then you zoom out and its on a block with 20 copies of the exact same house on tiny lots every single house here is >$2m

This also occurred when weed was "only 1-4%", and its not possible to make hash from that level of THC. Well, I suppose its "possible" but certainly not worth the time and effort for a tiny yield. Regulate like alcohol (harm ranking of 79 vs cannabis 15) and carry on. At least cannabis has a near 100% compliance with keeping kids out of dispensaries
