@RidingThePine21 @BeardownDoc Moron. He didn’t waste it. Lev has played 85 games
English

@BeardownDoc When you have to search for breakout forwards that's what you have to do when your gm wasted a 2nd overall pick
English

If I'm KD I'm getting on the phone immediately with St Louis.
Pick 4 for picks 11 and 15.

@bdh1330 @Paul27867080469 @grimposting Chris Pronger just said a defenseman takes 300-400 games to know if he’s any good. Schaefer is a unicorn. We’ve seen tons of upside from Lev. He’s played 86 damn games and you’re calling him a bust
English

@Paul27867080469 @AlexM9261 @grimposting We had Seth jones on the team, you want him back? I’d prefer the talent that we could develop instead of one that’s a pylon
English

@BPOTTER95 @CarlsBeef Some purists argue that a true dynasty requires three consecutive championships
English

@ChicagoBears Hey Poles, why the fuck you didn't address edge rusher this offseason?
English

Ryan Poles and Coach Johnson are live twitter.com/i/broadcasts/1…
English

@JayMcCarron @_NickWhalen You’re a moron. Substantial moron. This is Johnson’s pick
English

@_NickWhalen My problem isn’t drafting a WR. My problem is Poles’ obsession with over drafting players in this range. He was a consensus 6th/7th RD pick. There is no justification taking him at 89. Especially because Poles has done this every year and it’s blown up in his face every time.
English

Just listened to the Ryan Poles press conference:
-He mentioned Shemar Turner specifically in the DE group
-Talked about Sam Roush being valuable in 12/13 personnel groups and how multiple TEs is the “bread and butter” of the offense
-Zavion Thomas loves his speed, acceleration and deceleration. Specifically talked about he’s had roles as a RB and likes his vision and ability to break tackles. Also as a returner and WR
-LT. Said it’s a competition and they like where Ozzy is in recovery(good news)
English

@goaton5 @blakecowellx Ben Johnson made the pick dumbass. He’s smarter than you
English

@AlexM9261 @blakecowellx OK THEN TELL THE DIPSHIT WHY WE ARE DRAFTING A 3RD STRING TIGHT END WHEN WE HAVE ME AND YOU RUSHING THE PASSER
English

@blakecowellx Because Ryan poles doesn’t know what the fuck he is doing
English

@Jrclange @jacobinfante24 Yeah just because Velus was old and sucked doesn’t mean Mesidor will.
English

@jacobinfante24 Yeah let's draft more 25 year old prospects who weren't good until their super senior year in college. Mesidor would be an awful pick.
English

My preference tiers for #Bears in Round 1:
Tier 1 (ecstatic): Woods, Mesidor, Thieneman, trade back
Tier 2 (happy): Lomu, Parker, Young, B/C Miller, Hood, EMW, Faulk, Jacas, McDonald
Tier 3 (fine): Cisse, Johnson, Lawrence, trade up
Tier 4 (disappointed): Proctor, Iheanachor
English

A few reasons:
1. DT is a much bigger need than edge. If we had the Booker/Sweat equivalent at both DT spots, we’d be a top 22 defense.
2. Woods is the only DT in this class that can play both the run and pass equally well. Every other DT is either a run stopper or a pass rush specialist with weaknesses in the run game. I’m not saying Woods is a Jalen Carter level prospect, but he’s far and away the only dline prospect with top 5 potential.
3. Picking edge wouldn’t even solve most of our dline issues. Sure a decent edge would help our pass rush a bit (assuming they pan out) but unless that edge player turns out to be Parsons or Crosby, our dline will only be marginally better as a whole because our DT room is so weak.
4. Age: Peter Woods JUST turned 21 years old last month. Parker turns 22 in September. Not a huge difference but big enough to account for.
5. Parker had a significant decline in 2025. 11.5 sacks in 2024 to 5 sacks in 2025 is a huge decline and very worrisome for someone we would drafting at a position of need and with a first round pick. Woods “declined” as well statistically, but you could argue he got better since he was only HM All-ACC in 2024 and jumped to 1st Team All-ACC in 2025. Also DTs don’t really light up the stat sheet. Aaron Donald made people forget that simple fact.
6. Even if both Parker and Woods turn out to be elite, today’s era of football demands interior pressure over edge rushing. The last truly elite edge rusher to win a Super Bowl was Von Miller in 2015. The last 8 out of 9 Super Bowl winners (2017-2025) had at least 1 elite DT:
2017 Eagles - Fletcher Cox
2019 Chiefs - Chris Jones
2020 Buccs - Vita Vea
2021 Rams - Aaron Donald
2022 Chiefs - Chris Jones
2023 Chiefs - Chris Jones
2024 Eagles - Jalen Carter, Jordan Davis, Milton Williams
2025 Seahawks - Leonard Williams, Byron Murphy

If we trade up for TJ Parker while passing on Peter Woods, yall might see me genuinely have a 2024 draft Falcons fans level crashout on livestream @SoBackSports
Chris Simms@CSimmsQB
My first & only mock draft. This is where I think players WILL go, not where they SHOULD go.
English

@puckempire He’s quite a bit better than Bedard. Bedard is just a smaller Leo Carlsson.
English

Have we ever seen a player immediately shatter their draft expectations like Macklin Celebrini has?
The consensus was pretty much, his ceiling is a great, maybe elite two-way centre. Player comp: Jonathan Toews. Will be worse than Bedard.
At 19, he's a top-10 player in the NHL. Better than Toews ever was already imo.
English

@SleeperHQ Easy eliminations:
Hopkins, Fitz, Adams
Easy Selections
AB, Megatron
Now it’s between Chase JJ reek and Julio.
I think Julio is overrated, biggest difference between him and AB. AB NEVER fell off. His mind went off the deep end not his on field play.
Give me Jefferson
