A jury has found Live Nation-Ticketmaster liable for operating an illegal monopoly. Diana Moss applauds the verdict, crediting the states for pushing to trial after the Trump DOJ settled prematurely. The court now turns to remedies, with hopes for meaningful relief for consumers. progressivepolicy.org/ppi-applauds-g…

States educators are trying to emulate what Mississippi did to go from worst to first in education—but the national conversation misses a key aspect of why its literacy approach succeeded, @rachelanncanter writes. theatlantic.com/ideas/2026/04/…

.@rachelanncanter: “Just like we did in Mississippi, policymakers need to embrace a broad agenda rooted in what works […] in order to build the public school systems that children deserve.”
PPI@ppi

America’s public schools are struggling, but Mississippi proves that dramatic improvement is possible. @rachelanncanter argues that the state’s rise from last to first on national assessments wasn’t a miracle. It was twenty years of coherent policy, collective leadership, and hard-won persistence. progressivepolicy.org/inside-the-mis…

The firing of Attorney General Pam Bondi underscores growing concerns about political interference in the justice system. @Will_PPI warns that escalating “MAGA lawfare” threatens the rule of law and calls on Congress to ensure her successor is committed to impartial justice, not partisan enforcement. progressivepolicy.org/ppi-statement-…

No, @SenBooker, you are absolutely wrong. @BudgetBen’s analysis was not limited to raising tax rates. He was looking at the total revenue that could be raised from any tax increase on households earning more than $400,000 per year. theatlantic.com/ideas/2026/03/… Cc: @DanaBashCNN

Sound space policy requires economic expertise. In @thehill, PPI’s Mary Guenther argues that eliminating NASA’s Office of the Chief Economist undercuts smart public–private partnerships and risks weakening America’s commercial space leadership. thehill.com/opinion/financ…

The American center-left cannot win the future by conceding large parts of the country. @Will_PPI, speaking at PPI’s New Directions in Lansing, Michigan, argues that President Trump’s tariffs, abuses of power, and disregard for the Constitution demand a serious governing alternative.

At an event where Dems are strategizing how they can win back working class voters. A speaker just said they don’t feel like the national party cares to appeal to these voters. “It’s not going to be TV ads, it’s going to be hard work knocking doors.”

The Jeffrey Epstein investigation is exposing a generational divide within the Democratic Party. PPI’s @Will_PPI warns that turning away from the Clinton legacy without a clear plan to rebuild broad support could further erode the party’s coalition. politico.com/news/2026/02/0…

Rising energy costs in New Jersey are no accident. On @onnewjersey’s Energy Matters, PPI’s Neel Brown explains how ideologically driven energy decisions on both the left and the right are imposing an “activist tax” that consumers pay through higher prices and reduced reliability.

Michigan is facing a literacy crisis, with fourth-grade reading scores near the bottom nationally. At the Michigan Literacy Summit, @GovWhitmer made clear that reversing the trend will be her top priority in her final year in office. PPI’s @rachelanncanter joined the summit to share lessons from Mississippi’s remarkable turnaround, where early literacy reforms and sustained investment helped the state lead the nation in reading gains. As the founder of Mississippi First, Canter helped design and pass many of those reforms, from pre-K expansion to teacher pay raises. bridgemi.com/talent-educati…

... and a lot of these 232 decrees are *very* shaky stuff: condensed milk and mosquito repellent are 'steel or aluminum derivative products', the strategic missile fleet needs tariffs on lumber and sofas, etc. Congress does need to take control over this.
PPI@ppi

It’s time to restore trade policymaking to the legislative branch. PPI featured in today’s @nytimes coverage of Trump-era tariffs: Trump used Section 232 to target over a third of U.S. imports—invoking national security to bypass Congress. nytimes.com/2025/11/05/us/…
