I went to Boston Latin. Sumus Primi. Harvard was literally created for those graduating. On my first day of school in 7th grade the Headmaster, in an auditorium to us all, said, “Look to the right of you and look to the left of you. Only one of you will make it to graduation”. It was a grueling and challenging but rewarding experience. Even more grueling than my IB and PE experiences. I’m so thankful for it looking back. 30 kids from my graduating class went to Harvard.

Yes, perhaps you should think carefully before you speak, lest you reveal yourself as a fool.
📌 See below for the founding dates and feeder history of each:
- Boston Latin School (1635)
- Roxbury Latin School (1645)
- Collegiate School (1628)
📌 Harvard was founded in 1636. Multiple schools were already funneling students to it during the 1600s and have been regarded as its feeders ever since.
Later, during the 1700s, additional feeder schools and other Ivy League institutions were founded.
📌 My point regarding the 1600s is accurate. It is not my fault if you lack the educational background to understand it.
📌 I stated that they have been feeder schools since the 1600s and 1700s — which is entirely correct, as confirmed by each school's history.

📌 To address your challenge directly: my claim is correct.
Harvard (founded 1636) has drawn from Boston Latin School (1635), Roxbury Latin School (1645), and Collegiate School (1628) as feeders since the earliest days. This is well documented in each school’s official history.
📌 My actual statement — that these have been feeder schools since the 1600s and 1700s — is fully accurate.
Do some research and think before you accuse someone of being stupid. Your response demonstrates ignorance and a lack of sufficient background to engage with the material presented.

Elite feeder schools dominate Ivy League admissions and have long served as the primary pipeline for both old money and new money students. These are the institutions where America’s most elite families send their children to prepare for their future roles in society — far beyond mere education.
Roughly 20 high schools consistently send more students to Ivy League colleges than most others combined.
America’s wealthiest families have long funneled their children into these schools, many of which have been reliable Ivy League feeders since the 1600s and 1700s.

@bbkr82 @NYCMayor @andrewcuomo Seriously. Adam’s will be the one to blame if Mamdani wins. Too big of an ego.
English

@NYCMayor Hopefully, you will step aside as well, so that @andrewcuomo can safely beat Mamdani.

I’ve been a Peter Millar guy for a long time, but I’ve seen people posting Peter Millar polos and shorts at discount stores like TJ Maxx and Costco. What’s the new brand to switch to? @johnnieO @hbgolfusa

For 2+ years, I wrote Mr. David Stern an email once a month – pleading with him to have a one on one meeting with me. My agenda was to spend time with him and see what happens – which isn’t much of a value proposition to land a meeting with a living legend.
Over those 2+ years I sent him over 50 emails, in essay form, detailing why it would mean so much to me. I tried to be as creative as possible in my writing, but as the months passed I became skeptical as to whether or not he was even receiving my emails.
Then it happened. He responded with a simple note, “Oct 3, 9 am, 745 Fifth Ave 33rd fl. And STOP emailing me!”
When we met, he explained how he didn’t read emails on his computer, his secretary would print them and he would read hard copies. Therefore, my 50+ emails had wasted a significant amount of paper, ink, and time.
He was intimidating and knew it and used it in that first meeting, but agreed to a second meeting with me before I left.
For about 2 years he’d meet with me periodically and we’d discuss my aspirations, NBA history, and he’d normally curse me out & challenge me by the end.
He told me Michael Jordan was the GOAT “for obvious reasons” and his favorite player was Magic Johnson because “no one made their teammates better or loved to play the game more than Magic.”
Mr. Stern suddenly passed away on Jan 1, 2020. I was sad but deeply grateful he had taken an interest in me. And I figured that was that.
A few days later, I got an email from Mr. Stern’s office, informing me that I was on his “list of mentees” and was invited to his service at Radio City Musical Hall.
So I went and sat amongst Jordan, Kareem, Magic, and countless other childhood heroes.
The most surreal part was that he considered me a mentee (and even had it documented) but never told me.
Most meetings he’d called me soft. Demand I do more. And he LOVED to curse.
One of the most special friendships of my life. I think of him often when I feel challenged. He’d say “keep pushin”.

@BoringBiz_ I sadly used to do the same thing while in banking
English

Was grabbing coffee with a friend who works at the VP level in investment banking
Midway through the conversation, he starts typing an email to himself with just the subject line "Test"
I ask him what he is doing
He responds "just making sure my Outlook is still working, usually never go this long without receiving an email"
Just goes to show that no matter how much money you make in this field, you are always beholden to your work phone and emails
Highly paid servitude, if you will

I turned 45 earlier this year, and it often occurs to me that I feel exactly the same as I did when I was 25.
When does it start changing?
When do you start feeling old?
Well, it finally happened this past weekend - and it hit me like a ton of bricks.
I was at the Yankees game with my 5-year-old son, and one of his favorite players hit the ball really well.
As he rounded second base, all the people in front of us were standing up, and I realized my son was maybe going to miss a potential inside-the-park home run (which is VERY rare in baseball).
So I turned to my right as fast as I could, went to pick him up - and the second I started to lift him: SNAP, POP, SNAP.
My body froze, and all I could think was, "What just happened??"
The play was over, he missed the home run (which never happened anyway), and I could not move.
Next thing I know, I'm back in my seat in a silent state of shock, a ton of pain, and he and I are both very confused.
Yes, for the first time in my life - my back gave out.
It's been a rough few days, with quite the dose of humility.
Apparently, this is 45. I wonder what comes next.

@erica_wenger Tweets like this are why LPs no longer want to invest in the VC space. LPs talk about tweets like this amongst themselves. DPI is what matters at the end of the day.

Had the pleasure of attending @RFKHumanRights conference @ChathamBarsInn this week. Lots of great dialogue around issues we as investors should not only care about, but take action against using the weight of our capital. Also had the pleasure of touring the Kennedy Compound, led by @TedKennedyJR. Surreal moment for me as an Irish Catholic from Boston. Can’t wait to attend next year! #rfkcompass
