A recent Northwestern Medicine study led by Lisa Beutler, MD, PhD, assistant professor of Medicine in the Division of Endocrinology, Metabolism and Molecular Medicine, identified novel neural circuits modulated by the diabetes and obesity medications semaglutide and tirzepatide that help suppress appetite.
