I read this quote today: “Culture is a consequence of actions rather than beliefs” (Via @andreasholmer). "Culture change" projects often fail when they focus on beliefs/values rather than actions. Better to enable culture change by doing real work in line with improvement goals.

Often in the workshops I facilitate, we have a ground rule of "no HIPPOs" (Highest Paid Person's Opinion counts most). I just found a great graphic for this via @tweetvandijk that I am going to steal with pride.

Overnight the weather has been absolutely awful. Torrential downpours and as a result very cold temperatures have taken their toll on Chris. Her and the team have made the brave (but very sad) decision to conclude her attempt. She ended at Dornoch Bridge, still on schedule!!! 😢

Guy opposite our house always parks so it's really hard to get off our drive. I don't like confrontation so have never said anything. Instead, I make anonymous reports to the police that he's dealing drugs from his garage.
