@loebsleads Cowboys turning Pickens + 20 into 4 AND 35? That’s not a trade—that’s a reset button. Tennessee buys certainty. Dallas buys opportunity. I know which side I’m on

The replies to this have been wild. So its a problem when Christians don't like the fact the embodiment of rebellion against our God is portrayed in a positive light? You'd swear folks just read this guy claim a Christian genocide or bodily harm because of Invicible, instead of a strong opinion on a cartoon.

The latest Invincible episode is literally Satanic Propaganda. It's not even canon to the comics. They had literally no reason to do this. Fuck this show

@Bugimus I feel like this is a very relevant question at minimum, because if film reel manufactured 60 years ago can be preserved and purchased up to 2024, then there is no telling whether or not the rehearsal footage originates from Roger Patterson & co (unless they are in the footage)

@AliensOnX It has not been proven when it was used. The documentary says it was shot months prior to the PGF, but researchers like Bill Munns suspect it was after. I’m no expert on movie film shelf life but I would expect 2024 to be way past an acceptable time to use it.

Did Jeff Meldrum Agree Patty Was a Hoax? 😲👣🤔 Social media erupted after early screenings of Capturing Bigfoot, with many claiming the late Dr. Jeff Meldrum finally conceded the 1967 Patterson-Gimlin Film (PGF) was a hoax. Posts paraphrase his on-camera reaction to newly presented “lost reel” footage—often treating a single stunned moment as definitive proof he flipped. Eric Palacios, after an early screening, said Meldrum reacted with excitement, saying something like, “This has to be a dry run for the … [hoax] … are those boobs? Those are boobs.” This led others to conclude that Meldrum “recognized it was over” or showed “intellectual honesty” in admitting the hoax—sometimes boiling it down to “Meldrum called it a dry run and noted the breasts.” Put simply, these claims are misleading and overstated—they don’t accurately reflect what Jeff Meldrum said or meant. Here’s what we can gather about what the documentary actually shows. Meldrum appears as an interviewee. He is shown early on affirming authenticity traits, such as detecting “real mammalian musculature” in the creature that no 1967-era costume could replicate. Later, when presented with the “lost reel” and related claims which the director framed as pre-1967 test footage of the same subject/suit, he reacts with visible discomfort—he is described in reviews as “somewhat dazed” or “stunned” and struggling to reconcile it with his prior beliefs. He reacts with “the simplest explanation is uncomfortable to arrive at.” This is widely interpreted in context as alluding to Occam’s razor favoring the hoax narrative given the premise shown to him. He also reportedly comments that the new footage “had to be a dry run” and notes details like breasts. This does NOT equal Meldrum “agreeing” the PGF was a hoax. It is a momentary, reluctant acknowledgment of implications under the specific premise the director presented, i.e. that the lost reel predated and proved rehearsal for the 1967 event. Meldrum was reportedly assured by Evans that the reel was authentic pre-1967 footage. Critics argue this was misleading or false—the reel was allegedly a later replica or recreation unrelated to the original filming, not a “trial run.” Meldrum, described as trusting, had no reason to suspect high-stakes deception during filming. He never issues a full reversal, renunciation, or detailed debunking. His lifetime body of work consistently supported the PGF as depicting a real unknown primate. The doc uses his reaction for dramatic effect but does not show him independently vetting the new material or changing his conclusions after full review. Sadly, Meldrum died in late 2025 before the film’s release, so he could not clarify, respond to editing choices, or address the final cut. Other experts in or commenting on the doc continue to defend the PGF’s authenticity, and the Bigfoot community has widely called the documentary “sleazy,” “deceptive editing,” or “chicanery” that takes advantage of trusting interviewees. Even skeptical sources praise the doc’s overall narrative but do not cite Meldrum as having “agreed” in any conclusive way. In short, the claim appears to be spin from the documentary’s promotional framing or selective clips circulated online. Meldrum felt uncomfortable with the implication of evidence as presented to him on camera, but he did not independently conclude, endorse, or “agree” that the PGF was a hoax. His established expert position remained one of authenticity. The portrayal exploits a single edited reaction rather than reflecting a genuine shift. If new primary footage or unedited interview transcripts emerge, this could be revisited, but current evidence shows the claim does not hold.

@RapSheet The Cowboys aren’t messing around in the secondary—Locke brings versatility, physicality, and experience. At $5M for a year, he’s a savvy pickup that gives Dallas options against the pass and run while bolstering special teams. A solid, low-risk veteran addition.

Father Christopher
Father Christopher@FChristopher77·
Moscow, year 2000. A 7-year-old boy is dying of leukemia in a cold hospital room. Doctors have given up: “Only days left.” His parents have no tears left. They place a small icon of Saint Spyridon by his bed and whisper the Akathist with broken hearts. That night, the child dreams of an old man in a white skufia. The elder lays his hand on the boy’s forehead and says softly: “Do not be afraid. I am with you.” Morning comes. The blood tests are clean. The cancer has vanished without a trace. The professors can only say: “This is not medicine. This is a miracle.” Today that little boy is 32. He stands in Corfu, holding his own son in his arms. He places his child’s tiny hand on the glass over the relics and, tears streaming down, whispers: “Son, look… This is the Elder who gave me my life back… so I could give it to you.” And the relics of Saint Spyridon, still warm after 17 centuries, seem to tremble gently under their touch. Because His love never ends. It is only born again, in every child He saves. Saint Spyridon, pray for us!

The 2025 Dallas Cowboys season effectively ended on Monday night. Against a team that entered the game 2-5 and then proceeded to absolutely embarrass them. I'd say it's a shame, but that's pretty normal for modern times. bloggingtheboys.com/dallas-cowboys…
