Parkweg, Gauteng, Bike Squad police officers arrested a foreign national during patrol after finding khat plants worth about R15,000 in his possession. A second suspect was later arrested at the police station when he arrived to check on the first suspect, carrying a bag containing more of the same substance.

According to the house help, Anita Mugweru, 29, was the sole provider for her household. She single-handedly paid the rent, bought groceries and shopping, covered the house help’s salary, and was also repaying a loan taken by her husband, KDF Captain Edward Kaunga. On the fateful day, the captain had asked her for some cash, which she promised to give him in the evening. While Anita was out working all day to support the family, Captain Kaunga reportedly slept the entire day. When she returned home exhausted around 5 p.m., he was still in bed, wrapped in a duvet. He immediately summoned her and demanded conjugal rights. Anita politely asked for a few minutes to rest and catch her breath after a long, tiring day. This response triggered the captain. He flew into a rage, accusing her of cheating on him and claiming it confirmed his worst fears. The accusation deeply hurt and angered Anita. In the heat of the moment, she decided to speak her mind and unburden herself. She confronted him about how she was the one running the entire household—paying rent, buying food, paying the house help, and servicing his loan—while he contributed little. Her words apparently bruised his ego. Enraged, the captain stormed into the kitchen, grabbed a knife, and in a fit of fury, stabbed his wife to death in front of their young daughter

Four years ago today, I left the shores of Nigeria, and I have never looked back. It remains the best decision of my life—for myself, my family, and the generations to come.
✅ 4 years of no power interruptions.
✅ 4 years of no generator noise shaking the walls.
✅ 4 years of not struggling to feed or calculating every meal.
✅ 4 years of eating whatever I want—so long as I can afford it, not because prices skyrocket overnight.
✅ 4 years of not spending my hard-earned money in the hospital due to preventable illnesses.
✅ 4 years of walking into a hospital and not paying a dime—because healthcare is a right, not a privilege.
✅ 4 years of free schooling for my children—no need for school fees, PTA levies, or “registration charges.”
✅ 4 years of not paying school fees for my children’s education.
✅ 4 years of not praying against a landlord’s wahala.
✅ 4 years of good landlords—no sudden rent hikes, no harassment, no unfair evictions.
✅ 4 years of not paying agents multiple times for the same house.
✅ 4 years of good roads—no endless potholes, no floods swallowing cars.
✅ 4 years of not sitting in traffic for hours just to move a few miles.
✅ 4 years of not dreading fuel scarcity periods.
✅ 4 years of employers who pay salaries on time—no stories, no excuses, no begging for what I’ve worked for.
✅ 4 years of working where my efforts are valued, not where connections matter more than competence.
✅ 4 years of sleeping with peace of mind—no need for burglary-proof barriers everywhere, no fear of midnight robberies.
✅ 4 years of not bribing someone for things that should be my right.
✅ 4 years of living in a system that works.
✅ 4 years of knowing that my hustle will actually pay off.
✅ 4 years of watching my children grow with real opportunities ahead of them.
It hasn’t been easy—the sacrifices, the uncertainties, the moments of doubt—but every challenge has been worth it because today, I stand stronger, freer, and more assured of my future.
I left for a better life, and indeed, I found it.

Kenya is fast transforming into one vast construction site, with people-centred infrastructure projects rising simultaneously across the country, among them the Makenji Affordable Housing Project (APH) in Murang'a County, whose foundation stone was laid by H.E. President @WilliamsRuto in February 2024 and is now advancing steadily towards completion.
The project comprises nine blocks delivering 220 modern housing units across three typologies: 60 three-bedroom units, 100 two-bedroom units and 60 studio apartments, designed to meet the diverse housing needs of families and individuals in the growing town.
During its implementation, the project is already stimulating the local economy, creating jobs for youth on-site while supporting suppliers, transporters, hardware stores and food vendors, thereby circulating income within the community and driving growth in related sectors.
The State Department for Internal Security and National Administration continues to support the implementation of the project through coordinated oversight, community engagement and provision of a secure and enabling environment. 𝗠𝗢𝗥𝗘 𝗣𝗜𝗖𝗦 - shorturl.at/fQwe5

🚨 LAMU IS BLEEDING.
One of the poorest counties in Kenya... yet:
- The Governor allocated himself KSh 1.5 MILLION for mince meat 🤯
- Over KSh 700 MILLION missing
- Refuses to reappear before the Senate to explain
This is open looting.
And when accountability is demanded, they cry “persecution”, hoping the Senate will cover for them.
The painful truth?
Many voters in Lamu will STILL re-elect him:
- Some because he is Bajuni & Muslim
- Others because his DP is Kikuyu
Ethnicity + religion > accountability.
That’s how corruption survives.
Lamu doesn’t have a corruption problem.
It has a voter literacy crisis.
Until that changes, nothing will.

@fauzybash @islaanTooLate Grandma Sarah died a Muslim Alhamdulillah
Christians tried unsuccessfully to convert her in her old age
Saudi Arabia paid for her Hajj in 2010
Muslims who went to Colonialist school were influenced to convert.

@islaanTooLate The grandfather probably married a non-Muslim woman. That is how muslim men end up procreating big enemies of islam.
