Hot off the presses - From the ROC CCC trial - one of the first studies of ventilations delivered by BVM during cardiac arrest. Punchlines: 1) ventilations often not successful during 30:2, 2) ineffective ventilations are assoc with poorer outcomes.

Findings suggest that older patients, particularly those with limited autonomy, who spend the night in the ED awaiting hospital admission may have a higher risk of in-hospital mortality and morbidity; they should be prioritized for admission to a ward. ja.ma/3tZ8Khz

A randomised trial involving all hospitals in London, UK, has found no difference in survival at 30 days in patients with resuscitated cardiac arrest in the community who were taken by ambulance to a #cardiacarrest centre compared with those delivered to the geographically closest emergency department. #ESCCongress ARREST trial, Expedited transfer to a cardiac arrest centre for OHCA.
