Genesis 1 gets creation correct and in order 100%.
Only it is 100% true.
Day 1. God creates the heavens and the earth. Per the Hebrew that is the sun, moon, stars, galaxies, all the cosmos and everything in it. Total and complete.
The earth is without form and void. Darkness is over the face of the deep. (the earth is void of life and covered by water) God says let there be light.
Not the creation of light. There is no creation language used in the Hebrew. It simply says let the light be. Let the light be where? Let the light be on the earth. The context is being on the surface of the earth and looking outward. Not being out in space and looking down on the earth.
The Hebrew people understood that light came from the sun. There was no concept of light in the universe being somehow separate or its own source.
Science: After the Giant impact event when the mars sized planet struck the proto earth, the earth's atmosphere became so dense from debris and gasses that little to possibly no light could get through (darkness over the face of the deep) Let there be light is not the creation of light. It is the clearing of the earth's atmosphere so light reaches the surface.
Day 2: The earth's water cycle is established.
Day 3: Water and land are seperated (the earth is no longer a water world) Vegetation appears.
Day 4: Not the creation of the sun, moon, and stars. A further clearing of the earth's atmosphere so they can be fully seen. Already established that they were created on the first day. There is no concept or claim anywhere in the Hebrew text of a universe existing with only the earth and no other heavenly bodies.
Hebrew word Asah is used. Means something coming into its full purpose per the context. Establishing times and seasons. Example: Animals need full sight of the heavenly bodies to regulate their biological clocks. Example: Sea turtles need celestial cues for navigation/migration.
Science: After the great oxygenation event the earth's atmosphere became clear enough for the sun, moon, and stars to be fully seen. Before this there was light on the earth but the atmospheric haze prevented the ability to fully see where the light was coming from.
Day 5: Flying birds and other creatures appear. What other creatures? The other creatures that existed at the time of flying birds appearing.
Day 6: Advanced land mammals and other creatures appear. What other creatures? The other creatures that existed at the time of advanced land mammals appearing.
And finally man.
Day 7: The day of God's rest. What is he resting from? Resting from doing any grand creative works. There is no evening and morning stated for the 7th day. That is because we are still in the 7th day.
Yes the creation days were long periods of time. The 7 day/evening/morning model is simply used as a framework model for categorizing the different time periods. Not claiming literal 24 hr periods of time.
There is an 8th day. Revelation 21 and 22. The time period that has a beginning but has no end. There is no 9th day.
Specific creatures are stated to use as context markers for that specific time period. Creatures that the ancient Hebrew people would have recognized. Example: They would not have recognized a T-Rex. Before the 1800's people would have claimed the Bible was saying dragons were real. Get it?
Paleozoic era......Vegetation appears
Mesozoic era......Flying birds appear
Cenozoic era......Advanced land mammals and man appears
There is your proof of God. 10 out of 10 correct and in exact order. No way some ancient people could have just guessed it all correctly. The odds against that would be incalculable.
