@RMenOfCulture @RAWigger What context is missing exactly? Why don't you lay it out for us and we can go through it :)

@beigepilled @persecutedsgin I say keep him in prison for 20 years or so then let him get his 2nd chance by deporting him to Haiti or sub Sahara Africa. Maybe he can "turn his life around" over there.
English

@persecutedsgin Some kid just got his head blown off in my town a few weeks ago at one of these, 17 year old perp. Being tried as adult. Local Facebook comments about how he was just being young and dumb + deserves a second chance abound

Trying to explain “black teen takeovers” to normies will make you sound like an actual paranoid schizophrenic hyper racist despite them happening every weekend throughout the US
Breaking911@Breaking911
Two police officers were hospitalized and nine people were arrested after more than 1,000 teens rushed ICON Park in Orlando during a “teen takeover,” with some parents now calling for officers to be suspended over alleged “unnecessary force.”

@MVO326 @Falcon_Horus @DropSiteNews Sure it was. But Africa somehow can't build Africa. Let me guess, it's the white man's fault?
English

@Allahstroll2 @Falcon_Horus @DropSiteNews America was built on free labor from Africa, and the collective West has been looting the natural resources from Africa for centuries. That played a major role in the accumulation of wealth in the West. This is frankly the least America can do.

⭕️ Trump Admin Weighed April 30 Deadline for Zambia: Accept Mining Deal or Risk Losing HIV Medications
The Trump administration weighed linking U.S. health aid to expanded access for American firms to Zambia’s copper, lithium, and cobalt reserves, the New York Times reported in March, citing a leaked State Department memo.
About 1.3 million Zambians rely on HIV treatment funded through PEPFAR. A reduced system is already operating, and support could be cut in one day. The memo, prepared for Secretary of State Marco Rubio, states: “We will only secure our priorities by demonstrating willingness to publicly take support away from Zambia on a massive scale.”
The draft proposal outlined $1 billion in health funding over five years, less than half prior levels, in exchange for three conditions: $340 million in new domestic health spending, preferential access for U.S. mining companies, and restructuring a $458 million Millennium Challenge Corporation grant toward mining regulatory reforms.
It remains unclear if the terms were formally presented to Zambia or if any deadline was officially conveyed. The memo reflects a negotiating position. There is no confirmed reporting on whether Zambia accepted or rejected the proposal.

@_Just__JJ @nickshirleyy Tim Waltz should be in the Olympics if he can outrun speeding vehicles. Guaranteed gold medals
English

@nickshirleyy Yep! He’s learing to the right! And to the left! I don’t think he’s got much learing left in him, though… lulz!

@SalsaTrump @theclearthinke1 @QasimRashid Sure there is...food, roads, a functioning government. AIDS medication
English

@Allahstroll2 @theclearthinke1 @QasimRashid If you are better under oppression that mean your countrymen hold no values. There is nothing good from colonialism.
English

This is horrifying and barely getting media coverage.
Trump set April 30 as a deadline for the Zambian Govt. They must either accept Trump's new health funding agreement to have access to critical AIDS meds—and thus give the USA expanded access to its precious mineral resources like copper, lithium, and cobalt—or let its citizens die due to lack of vital AIDS medications.
Zambia is 98% Christian. Christians will die as a result of Trump's extortion. Notice how MAGA is wholly silent? Barbaric.
English

@ZakkOsborne @TheLaurenChen The same nuts also accuse the USA of "white saviorism" for giving aid to Africa. Get you coming, get you going
English

Their outrage is the most bizarre shit, manufactured obviously because none of them even knew this was a thing.
So you're mad we're not paying for healthcare for... people in... another country...
But you're mad that... we're not paying for healthcare for... people in THIS country... that the billions we spend on people in OTHER countries could be used for people in THIS country....
GIF
English

@e_jokkonen @deserthusk944 @TheLaurenChen We've given them billions of dollars for 20 years. I guess that doesn't count and we're supposed to do this indefinitely? Enough is enough
English

@deserthusk944 @TheLaurenChen I get it. You're American.
The concept of helping the poor and disenfranchised is completely foreign to you, much like the foreign aid that we're discussing.
So the small gears in your brain turn and you think, maybe I could squeeze water out of this rock?
Yeah, I get it.
English

@marlene4719 @RickyRickybat So expecting them to pay or trade for medication is extortion? I guess I'm extorted everytime I go to the doctor or dentist
English

@RickyRickybat Duh that’s not the point. Extortion is the point.
English

If you’re still not convinced that Trump is a depraved scumbag he is using the United States AIDS medicine as extortion to pressure Zambia into giving him better access to its valuable minerals.
So the bottom line is either expand access to the country’s precious minerals or have their people die of AIDS.
A more loathsome fuck has never walked this earth in our lifetime.

English

@Anna_Askjaer @DropSiteNews Refusing to give free stuff is neo colonialism? That's ridiculous
English

@Falcon_Horus @DropSiteNews For what? Because they can't get free stuff anymore? I wish I could sue everyone who didn't give me free stuff
English

@DropSiteNews That's blackmail and should be treated as such. Zambia needs to bring this to the international court.
English

@mary66750474 @Suzierizzo1 Why should America just give everyone free stuff? They should have to pay or trade something in return.
English

@Suzierizzo1 Why is he purposely trying to let people die? Wanting people to suffer, children to starve? America keep your eyes on the Lord and turn away from evil.
English

@Deezer1951 @Suzierizzo1 @JohnCleese No one unconditionally helps others. That's silly. Including you. You don't indefinitely unconditionally help people, especially strangers.
English

@Suzierizzo1 @JohnCleese Don’t we just unconditionally help other human beings because it’s the right thing to do?
English

@dyear_of_dcat @akathefloods @Suzierizzo1 What is our "good relation" with Zambia besides us giving them stuff? Do they ever give anything to us?
English

@akathefloods @Suzierizzo1 Because it improves relations between the two countries and avoids a humanitarian crisis that could destabilize the country and see it align with China or another U.S. adversary.
English

@Suzierizzo1 So expecting something in return for providing a valuable service is extortion?
English

@felixmarindany @chewan @QasimRashid So requiring them to pay for the services they get from America is extortion?
English

@chewan @QasimRashid The US is unabashedly extortioning poor countries. We don't need ARVs though. I hope Africa will realize that.
English

@theclearthinke1 @QasimRashid No one wants to admit Zambia was better off under colonialism. We must pretend Zambia is actually better off today.
English

@QasimRashid So you admit that even after 70 years of independence Zambia still can’t take care of itself.
