@BertieDagenham @LBC @owenjonesjourno @HausdorffMedia @lewis_goodall A new talking point of genocide deniers. Rulings from the ICC and ICJ are not a prerequisite to genocide recognition. Neither have ruled on the Holocaust, so according to your standard that is not a recognized genocide either. Nazism and Zionism are two wings of the same bird.

@ahanthaihannah @USATODAY The Houthis are not “terrorists”. Their naval forces warned the ship crew to alter course for half an hour before striking the ship. They blocked ships linked to Israel, America, and UK due to their involvement in the Gaza genocide.

@HGPFree @Pontifex Last year Trump received Ahmed Hussein al-Sharaa, former Al Qaeda leader and the current president of Syria at the White House. The American government previously had a $10 million bounty out for him.

Today we celebrate World Press Freedom Day, sponsored by UNESCO. Unfortunately, this right is often violated, sometimes flagrantly, sometimes in hidden ways. Let us remember the many journalists and reporters who are victims of war and violence.

@NewEnglandTrad @HGPFree @Pontifex Iran does not fund terrorist organizations at all. They fund resistance militias that the West disingenuously labels “terrorist organizations” for propaganda purposes. In fact, Iran fought ISIS and Al Qaeda in Iraq and Syria. Their funding came predominantly from the Gulf States.

@AbdolrahmanMah1 @Pontifex @volker_turk @drmaisato This “uprising” was an attempted armed coup backed by Mossad and the CIA. Pahlavi has no popular support in Iran. Monarchists are useful idiots to Israel and the West, who indoctrinate and use them to serve their foreign policy objectives. They have blood on their hands.

@dobyboby81 @ryangrim @TheNewSchool Both “volunteering” and performing “non-combat tasks” are legally defined as “material support” in 18 U.S. Code § 2339A.

@dobyboby81 @ryangrim @TheNewSchool So you would also have no issue with a Muslim student organization using school funds to do something similar with the IRGC? How about Hamas or Hezbollah? Something tells me you would be singing a different tune.

Hillel at @TheNewSchool was found to have taken money from mandatory student fees and used it to support specific units in the IDF known for notorious war crimes. I think doing that should itself be a crime, but the audacity to think there is some natural right you have to take other people’s student fee funds and spend them on war crimes is mind blowing. Hillel can’t raise its own funds to support units carrying out war crimes?

Despicable news. NYC’s @TheNewSchool student senate has voted to suspend Hillel’s funding & collaboration. Hillel is the center of Jewish life on campus. Not a word, of course, from NYC’s “antisemitism czar” @phylisajoy who appears to be on a perpetual “listening tour” serving as Mamdani’s official token Jew.

@dobyboby81 @ryangrim @TheNewSchool “Our first Hillel trip has landed safely… they are soon headed to an IDF base to volunteer and give back.” Replace Hillel with MSA, IDF with IRGC, Hamas, or Hezbollah, and a picture of MSA students posing with militants. Would you make the same argument?

@ryangrim @TheNewSchool 4) A shocking amount of “proof” is social media captions and photos, then layered with assumptions about what those activities mean. That’s advocacy, not rigorous investigation.

@dobyboby81 @ryangrim @TheNewSchool Once again, if this was a Muslim student group volunteering for the IRGC, Hamas, Hezbollah, the Muslim Brotherhood, or the PLA, you would apply a completely different standard.

@ryangrim @TheNewSchool 3) "Guilt by association, not evidence" The core argument: Hillel → Hillel International → Israel → IDF → alleged violations. That’s not evidence of wrongdoing by a campus group, it’s ideological linkage dressed up as compliance analysis.

@dobyboby81 @ryangrim @TheNewSchool The Gaza genocide is formally recognized by the UN, the International Association of Genocide Scholars, Human Rights Organizations, and scholars of international law and genocide. Your personal feelings and ignorance of the definition of genocide do not change that fact.

@ryangrim @TheNewSchool 2) The report repeatedly asserts that Israel/IDF are committing genocide and treats that as settled fact. It isn’t. Even the ICJ language they cite is about plausibility and provisional measures, not final ruling. They present contested allegations as definitive legal judgments.

@TaliGoldsheft @TheNewSchool @phylisajoy The only thing despicable is you. The “Semite” label is obsolete, but Palestinians are more purely Semitic than Ashkenazi Jews. That makes the ethnosupremacist state of Israel inherently antisemitic. The word you are looking for is Judeophobia, which this is most certainly not.

@jray129 @DropSiteNews @ryangrim This comment does nothing but expose your primitive mindset. You see geopolitics as a sport, and everyone must be rooting for a team. It is pure projection. In reality, educated people attempt to analyze the conflict impartially. Maybe you should stick to football.

🛢️OIL | Two weeks into the blockade, Iran is still loading crude from its Kharg Island terminal onto tankers already in the Persian Gulf, Bloomberg reports. Drop Site reported today that in recent weeks, Iran has begun deploying improvised storage containers—including mothballed storage tankers in the Persian Gulf brought back into service to help deal with the blockade—as a means of continuing production in the face of the dilemma imposed by the blockade and avoiding production stoppages. Kpler reported Monday that Iran likely still has 12 to 22 days of storage capacity left. “Before the war, Iran had emptied a portion of its storage capacity. That’s why Iran had tens of millions of barrels floating on the sea. It already foresaw the situation,” Mostafa Khoshchesm, a security analyst in Tehran close to the Iranian government, told Drop Site. “Secondly, 70% of Iran’s oil production is used at home and 30% is exported abroad. Iran could re-channel its oil exports through land, through swapping, through many other means,” Khoshchesm continued. He added: “That they [the U.S. government] believe that they can fill Iran’s storage capacity with maximum oil in two to three days or one to two weeks is totally wrong.” Robin Mills, a petroleum consultant with experience in Iran, has written that the blockade is unlikely to inflict “catastrophic, or even very serious” damage on the country’s oil wells. He adds that if restrictions are lifted, Iran could quickly restore output to around 70% and recover most of its pre-war capacity within a few months. Trump said last weekend: “What happens is that line explodes from within. Both mechanically and in the earth, something happens where it just explodes, and they say they only have about three days left before that happens.” 🔗 Drop Site’s full report is linked in reply.

Iran is still loading oil tankers at Kharg Island (one of them a VLCC). No sign yet Tehran has run out of storage, despite baseless claims from the White House. Via @CopernicusEU Sentinel-2 🛰️ this morning (May 1) My earlier @Opinion column: bloomberg.com/opinion/articl…

@BlessedAme87202 @iraninyerevan Women in the West are objectified and sexualized. Around 81% of women in America have faced sexual harassment. When Rick Steves traveled to Iran in 2009, a mother told him, “I just don’t want my daughter growing up like Britney Spears.” That is what motivates veiling.

@BlessedAme87202 @iraninyerevan Egypt does not have a hijab mandate yet the majority of women practice veiling. Around 30% of women in Lebanon practice veiling (for reference 53% of the population is Muslim). If you walk the streets of major cities in Iran, probably around 10% of women do not veil.

⭕️ Tucker Carlson tells The New York Times why he calls U.S. President Donald Trump a “hostage” to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu: “Trump said, ‘I want a negotiated settlement [with Iran].’ Israel stopped the settlement.” He explained that the U.S.-Iran ceasefire terms included a requirement that Israel stop attacking southern Lebanon. “You can’t use the Iran war as a pretext for stealing more land from a sovereign country. That’s not your country,” he said. When Israel continued its attacks, Carlson noted that “Trump refused to even criticize Netanyahu in public.” “Are you joking? That’s slavery. That is total control of one man by another.” @TuckerCarlson | @LuluGNavarro
