10 reasons the 49ers should trade for Maxx Crosby: 1. DE market is capped by Micah trade, the price is reasonable. 2 firsts get it done. 2. DE is a premium position and two elite pass rushers amplify each other’s impact. See the compounding effect in Houston. 3. Adds crucial D-line redundancy and injury protection. Bosa off 3rd knee injury. 4. Minimal roster holes remain -- this fills a key need. Dline, Wr, backup RB are three holes imo*... this gives you top 3 Dline in NFL. 5. Mykel can move to interior and offer depth at edge. 6. Purdy + Shanahan have proven offensive proficiency with limited weapons -- not to say CMC, Kittle, Trent + Pearsall is limited, but in case of injuries Purdy can elevate. 7. They have the future draft capital to make it happen and have 17 players on roster from 2 previous drafts. 8. It’s financially feasible with Aiyuk off the books. 9. Entices Robert Saleh to return for another season. 10. 2025 is a huge window of opportunity for Niners. 3rd place schedule and last two drafts showing promise. Now is the time to make a splash. Bonus: Gives you leverage in next Bosa contract extension. *Niners lose Juan in this case and will need to target receiver in 2nd round and free agency. If Jordan James isn't ready, another backup RB in FA.

My realistic wishlist for this offseason: 1. Mike Mcdaniel OC in Washington 2. Niners trade 2 firsts for Maxx Crosby 3. Kliff Kingsbury pairs up with Lamar 4. Vikings trade a 1st and 2nd for Kyler

@roundrobin42 Personally bias — but I think Oscar betting is one of the best/safest markets to participate in and so far my favorite part of pms joining the ecosystem.

Lost $1k on Timmy C for best actor. New post on prediction markets, media integration, and why it’s not great that Academy Award bets are one swipe away from retirement accounts

Sinners is one of those movies where I kept thinking ok maybe it gets better from here. And then it never does. Anyone who tells me they loved it has permanently disqualified themselves from recommending movies to me. I will never listen to their suggestions.

Sinners was robbed.

The Perfect Neighbor (a heavy favorite) not winning is a shocker, and I’ll say it, a travesty.

Love seeing OBAA win Best Casting. Prob my fav bet of the season. Kulukundis isn’t in the Casting Society of America so she/OBAA couldn’t win that precursor. Closed at 17%.

Quick takes: I like the Osa O. trade for the Niners. Good/flexible contract to inherit for a tier 2 IDL - a position they critically needed pass rush help with. They have 6 picks in upcoming draft and a big sophomore class. Only so many youngins can make the team. Greenlaw is a no brainer low risk / high ceiling acquisition. Huff leaving prob net neutral.

@Graham_SFN It’s a solid contract that they can get out of after upcoming season. Or, if he over performs, they have a tier 2 DL with a more than reasonable salary. I like it.

@LombardiHimself They didn’t show restraint on Greenlaw. Idk why you’re constantly reporting this incorrectly.

With Monday's addition of three 4th-round picks, the 49ers have now racked up 28 comp picks since 2020 — most in NFL this decade. These three 2026 picks trace back to the restraint they showed with Dre Greenlaw and others last year. You never know what a comp pick might become

@LombardiHimself They aggressively pursued Greenlaw and offered him close to same as Broncos (if not equal). Greenlaw chose DEN over SF.

I absolutely love Mike Evans but for a team that needs to get younger and more explosive... signing a 3 year deal at age 33 (turns in August) I am not a fan.
Tom Pelissero@TomPelissero

Six-time Pro Bowl WR Mike Evans is signing a three-year deal with the 49ers, sources tell The Insiders. Injuries ended Evans’ streak of 1,000-yard seasons. But he’s back for more at age 32 on a deal negotiated by @DerykGilmore of @Day1SportsEnt and @DRJonesEsq of Maven Spots.

I expect the Evans deal to be guaranteed money for first 2 seasons with an easy out before the 3rd. This is very comparable to Rams play on Davante Adams last year. He got 2 year 44m.. was same age as Evans now. That worked out quite well for LAR.

@jmousis He’s been very healthy is whole career until last year. It was his calling card for a decade. But his age is certainly the reason he’s not a 30m apy player!

@AllegedlyGelo Pretty fair deal, concern is a team that can’t stay healthy betting on a guy that hasn’t been healthy. Hopefully it works.
