You served a proper point. Other NATO countries should push their defense budgets upward to the same percentages of GDP that the US has maintained for decades. Europe should be able to defend itself. In every currently available scenario/wargame, Europe loses every time no matter how they attempt to play it out without massive US involvement.

The US being in NATO is like paying alimony to 31 ex-wives.
