Nos. 33‑11412 / 34‑105020), the SEC classifies DOT as a “digital commodity” and, under that framework, does not treat DOT itself as a security under the federal securities laws. 🚨MARKETS: SPOT POLKADOT ETF HAS ONLY SEEN ONE DAY OF INFLOWS According to @SoSoValue data, as of March 18, the one spot @Polkadot ETF in the US has only seen one day of net inflows, since launching at the start of March. That day came on March 12 when $544.5K flowed into the product. Currently, 21Shares' $TDOT ETF is the only such product in the US market.

🚨ICYMI: The SEC officially classifies 16 crypto assets as digital commodities. Included: $XRP, $APT, $AVAX, $DOGE, $SOL, $ADA, $BCH, $ETH, $HBAR, $ALGO, $LTC, $DOT, $SHIB, $XLM, $XTZ, $LINK.

The SEC issued, with related guidance from the CFTC, its interpretation on certain crypto assets. In the release, the SEC identifies Polkadot (DOT) as a digital commodity, not a security. DOT is listed alongside 15 other digital commodities, including BTC, ETH, and others.
