Ducks have trailed in every game but are up 3-1. In fact, Anaheim has been behind in all but one of its 30 games post-Olympics but has 16 wins—credit due.

Oiler on oiler attack now blaming tonight on the announcers curse. The 4th line made up of one dman. One who played for western Michigan last year and another guy who has been up and down for 8 years in pro hockey has turned into the red wings grind line and they own the Oilers

I agree - the call on the ice likely should have been "not conclusive."
But, once the Situation Room deems it a good goal, the call on the ice is irrelevant.
If the SR said, "We're not sure, so the call on the ice stands," that would be entirely different.

@SportsnetSpec Mark, I think the problem everyone has is the process. No one on the ice could have called that a goal. So the process should have been no goal and then review. That's the issue and no accountability by the officials on the ice to know how they came about that goal on the ice.

The Referee’s initial call on the ice was that the puck completely crossed the goal line. Following video review, the Situation Room determined that the puck completely crossed the goal line.

We can certainly *presume* that the puck crossed the line based on the size of a puck and how little of it was obstructed by Jarry's skate…but where was the definitive evidence?

The post about Nurse however much I feel is correct based on emotion is a bridge to far. I've deleted it. No puck luck for this team this year, and Nurse has been one of the best D-men on the ice for large stretches of this series. I'm sorry to both those that agree with me and those that do not.
