@Altavistagoogle @nuala_00 @Feiryred I gree up in some of thr roughest council estates in the city I lived in. Working class as a socioeconomic group lands short - it is cultural too. My point was diversity has helped the UK prosper throughout our history, and why oh why are we so focussed on where folks were born.
English

@Alyoscha2 @nuala_00 @Feiryred If you are really a computer scientist you likely are not currently part of the working class. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Working_c…
English

@Altavistagoogle @nuala_00 @Feiryred And that is somrhow a benefit? I guess that's perspecitve for you.
English

@copperdale @dave75265839 @simonhall1974 @cononeilluk @simonhayes67 @BorisJohnson First up would love to see what that long term (non covid) investment is. Second I have a good few friends swayed by exactly that, so really not cloud cuckoo land. Not sure why you are defneding it - was clearly a Brexit campaign policy. You won, own it proudly.
English

@copyconstruct Not sure if this helps but in case, when I want to tease out zero downtime complexity with a team I find this a good article building on the issues of state and DB migrations spring.io/blog/2016/05/3… (we are a Spring shop)
English

@ddrysdale99 @localnotail @EmmaKennedy @jonlis1 Definitely not wrong - many of my friends have already left, we are planning it. The PM said something like 'I will stop immigrants treating this coubtry like it is theirs' at the election. So many people have suggested we go home since Brexit, definitely not welcome
English

@localnotail @EmmaKennedy @jonlis1 You are 100% wrong to state that foreign workers are not welcome and have been told they are not welcome.
English

@LogicalFallac18 @steve_lieber @GrandSoLike That is so off the mark. I worked on water control systems that would have failed as the program simply couldn't handle the date concept....no water is a problem.
English

@steve_lieber @GrandSoLike You missed the lesson. Y2K was never a problem, it was a money making scheme.
No computer would have shutdown, no computer would have blown up the world.
The worst that could have happened was the date would read 1929 instead of 2000.
English

@copperdale @dave75265839 @simonhall1974 @cononeilluk @simonhayes67 @BorisJohnson This is beyond grasping - people at the tine clearly thought that was the intent, and Johnson repeated time and again let's fund our nhs. All a bit late for the Ts&Cs.
English

@DeniseMelling @CarolineBignell @NaoShoo Similar, only solution I can find is to no longer be British so we are planning our move to Germany and I will aim for citizenship. Never thought my life choices over theast 20 years would result in that. Weird times.
English

@CarolineBignell @NaoShoo What about us that are still working - I have had my rights stripped from me who didn’t like hearing foreign voices in Asda. That’s unforgivable
English

@U_WontLike_Me @NaoShoo @JoshAlexCairo @CarolineBignell This is just an utter lack of compassion to fit your brexit narrative. Brexit has made it harder for families in this spot, it is simple fact. My life too has been complicated the same way. One day I really hope yoy see some value from it.
English

@NaoShoo @JoshAlexCairo @CarolineBignell If she applied to stay they she would have been given the right to stay. If she didn’t apply then that’s not anyone else’s fault
English

@spamsnob @Cy25Skipper @TworandN Have you ever actually run a business, you know the little things that let you pay your bills?
English

@thecolonel18453 @StreetsOfTide @privbrad_ @KymYSmith @FrankBe03306014 Sure, but at aome point that discussion has to he had in the basis of available fact. I live in dorset which has a large older population and a large pro leave contingent.
English

@StreetsOfTide @privbrad_ @KymYSmith @FrankBe03306014 I'm no troll, I can assure you of that
I'm just passionate about getting the story right, & I believe that this government is set on degrading the public support for pensioners
Lord Ashcroft was a deputy chairman of the tories, so he wouldn't have any ulterior motives would he.
English

@thecolonel18453 @StreetsOfTide @KymYSmith @FrankBe03306014 The balance of leave votes does tend toward older voters based on the available data yougov.co.uk/topics/politic….
English

@StreetsOfTide @KymYSmith @FrankBe03306014 My wife and I are both 67 years old & voted remain as did our siblings and friends, so how does that fit with your premise.
Where I worked, it was the younger people who were taken in by Farage & BoBo Johnson, thinking that they were a couple of dude's, and a good bet to follow.
English

@mclift13 @PicturesHoly @alextalbot116 @cidered112 @claraeuro @AmandaRamsay how is 'you lost so leave it alone' how democracy works? By that logic by now we would be a one party country. This is the start of the next journey, my values didn't change just because of a vote
English

@Alyoscha2 @PicturesHoly @alextalbot116 @cidered112 @claraeuro @AmandaRamsay It kinda is how democracy works I'm afraid. And for the record I know more people that have swapped from remain to leave than vice versa before you lot start throwing those stones. 👍
English

@mclift13 @PicturesHoly @alextalbot116 @cidered112 @claraeuro @AmandaRamsay To you too....really do hope you find a betrer way to express your views in 2021 as the group leading us into this new world though. Good luck with it, you may have 'won' but seem to have no idea what it is. That is where democracy will win out thankfully.
English

@Alyoscha2 @PicturesHoly @alextalbot116 @cidered112 @claraeuro @AmandaRamsay It's only not how democracy works if like you whining lot you done like the democratic outcome. Anyway, wasted enough of my time reading your BS. Happy new year 🎉🎉
English

@pooshilove @claraeuro For my job as do i....but i can't magically get that back...and koving their businesses out of the UK is nothing to do with travel simply they knew the export pain that small businesses are now seeing.
English

@mclift13 @PicturesHoly @alextalbot116 @cidered112 @claraeuro @AmandaRamsay Not really how democracy works. There seem to be zero plans to gather promised upsides from the pro brexit camp and a lot of short term downsides. Do nothing for long enough and the country will change its mind, so kinda on you to deliver what you want. It is not a football match
English

@PicturesHoly @alextalbot116 @cidered112 @claraeuro @AmandaRamsay You lot had your chance at the voting stations and lost. Time to suck it up and get on with it 👍
English

@StefanByrcza @Andrew_craig82 @claraeuro No he said this is good for you, so vote for it. Then moves his assets. Seems the exact definition of hypocritical to me.
English

@Andrew_craig82 @claraeuro Is not hypocrites,is his business. They finance will be much better outside EU,with no control at all.Reese Mogg just sell pink unicorn for British people. And he could say:"you want this!"So he deliver.Problem is with people, they more interest in reality TV Show then they live.
English

@glynmckendry @claraeuro I guess afew obvious pro brexit ones would be Dyson's move to Singapore and Reese-Mogg's to Ireland - these are two of the leave lead voices....
