@conservmillen I cannot help but wonder if your reaction would have as charitable had a Catholic made such a blasphemous post. Let us suppose that a critic of Israel, such as Nicholas J. Fuentes, had shared an image depicting himself as Christ. Would you have reacted in the same manner?

I do believe that he didn’t think of this as a depiction of Jesus when posting. Still, there has to be more care and discernment here.

Fascinating. When I talk to women they want a man who is consistent, thoughtful, dependable, provides. I thought those were normal things. Maybe these men are struggling so it seems "unrealistic"? I'm curious to hear what across the board expectations are unrealistic. I've heard the occasional thing but it's far from the norm. So basically two thirds of men across three generations thinking women have unrealistic expectations seems a little delusional itself?

@ArielRoseV @eleanoir I saw the film as more of a broad cultural critique, implicating all parties. The intellectuals’ tendency to overthink causes their extinction. The anti-intellectuals’ tendency to not think at all, coupled with negative cultural shifts, ruins the planet.

@AmOneMag @eleanoir The premise is inherently dependent on eugenics theory. Although I don't believe eugenics is the point of the movie, I think the impact it had definitely promoted eugenics beliefs, even if people will publicly disagree with the term, they still support the theory.

I am not trying to make my Catholic friends, who I love, angry with this statement. But this entire episode is starting to explain to me why so many Americans were concerned about a Catholic president for so long. I have no interest in Rome trying to dictate American policy. And if it continues to loudly make its opinions heard on our foreign policy, I believe they’re going to find a lot of American Protestants feeling a lot less ecumenical than we have been in the more recent past.

If the number of female workers is directly correlated with an increase in real wages, there should be no issue.

@PopulistBlock It's nuanced, the idea that women drove all wages down everywhere is not supported. They drive them down in certain occupations, but on a broader economic level they increased wages.

These posts would be a lot more productive if they offered solutions for the fact that the average man makes $60K-$70K while the average 4-person household costs $100K. @amytheartist This, of course, is far from the only reason for wage stagnation and a lack of opportunities, but it is a contributing factor to the problems nevertheless. Any solution must take comparative advantages and externalities into account.

@amytheartist Labor operates according to supply and demand. When the supply doubles (women/immigrants entering the workforce), the demand (reflected in wages) decreases. A family used to function on a single income because the labor force was half the size and thus wages were higher.

The American education system is designed to make obedient work drones. Based on interactions I have on this site, it's succeeded. Humans have existed for at least 260k years. This means our history is much longer than what we are taught in school. It's on you to re-educate yourselves. You have to start by accepting what you've been taught was taught to you to keep you down and controlled. It sucks, and this part hurts. But I can't go through this realization for you. Then you have to seek answers to your own questions. The information is out there, but you have to be the one curious enough to find it. If you keep expecting other people to spoon feed it to you, then you're still an obedient serf. You're a human being, not a baby bird. Stop keeping your mouth open and expecting other people to fill it with regurgitation.
