..."a passionate attachment of one nation for another produces a variety of evils. Sympathy for the favorite nation, facilitating the illusion of an imaginary common interest in cases where no real common interest exists, and infusing into one the enmities of the other, betrays the former into a participation in the quarrels and wars of the latter..." Washington's Farewell Address 1796.

@ky_statesman The founders were very explicit in their warnings against becoming entagled with other countries politically. No exceptions. They believed in free trade. They believed in neutrality. Read Washington's farewell speech, Jefferson's writings about "the Old World", all of Europe.

@Peoples_Pundit Politicians learned a lot about propaganda in WWII. It has shaped generations. There's a bad guy and the good guys have to save you from them. From that point on if anyone trys to point out problems or have a discussion about the wisdom of it all they are a villain.

Rich Baris THE PEOPLE'S PUNDIT
The "madman" myth is just that, a myth. It's not a serious argument. It's the Boomer Generation's predominant "Myth of Empire" after the "Domino Theory". Kim Jong-un was a "madman", too, remember? Why hasn't Seoul been nuked yet? Why aren't we invading North Korea? Nobody wants to say it, but it needs to be said. Nazi Germany was an encircled aspiring regional hegemon, just as Wilhelm Germany before them, and Israel now. Encircled inspiring hegemons are aggressive and push out to expand their territorial borders. They adopt textbook expansionist policies for security. Israel is predictably acting just like Germany. Hitler didn't have a "madman" strategy either. He had the same rational (though foolish) expansionist policy as Wilhelm Germany did. "Rational" doesn't necessarily mean "wise". It just means rational. The only difference is that Israel has something Germany never had: a stupid big brother willing to be baited and bled for their interests. Germany had lobbies and sympathizers in France and elsewhere, but not like this, which is more akin to Britain using the U.S. as their ace in the hole. These encircled powers eventually provoke their neighbors into forming a balancing coalition against them, and are destroyed. That will be Israel's future if they persist down this path, because unfortunately for them, Trump and Republicans will be soundly defeated for supporting their expansionist policy against the wishes of the American people. Democrats, as they did when Iraq went south, will never be so stupid as to spend the political capital to support ground wars against regional powers, one of them being a NATO ally (Turkey), which is the Israel Lobby has already begun to sell to these stupid Republicans.

A visibly hysterical Mark Thiessen insists Iran would kill millions with a nuclear weapon the second they got it to "bring about the Apocalypse." "I don't know why people can't understand this!!" he whines. (Trump told all his followers to watch this to learn the "importance of hitting Iran, HARD!!!")

@MattForVA I would respectfully say that it does not matter to the people that are being taken from who is behind it. America will inevitably be the villain they seek revenge on. So, the American people are poorer from paying for it and they will be the targets for retribution.

@Am_Freethinking Yes, but slight correction… America won’t own it, nor would taking those natural resources mean they belong to America. The oligarchs that control the Fed send our men & women to fight & die under many guises so that they can steal the natural resources for themselves.

Levin talks about sending the 82nd AB into Iran to “get the uranium.” He says, “we’re not talking about sending the infantry in, these specialized units are trained for this.” Ummm, the 82nd AB is an infantry unit, and no, they’re not trained to “get the uranium.” This dude talks out of the side of his ass and will say anything to make his followers believe our men & women should die for Israel.
Brian Allen@allenanalysis

Trump just told Americans to watch Mark Levin tonight. Levin’s message: we need boots on the ground in Iran to seize their uranium. The President of the United States is using a cable TV host to prepare the public for a ground invasion.

Senator Marsha Blackburn leveraged her position as a sitting U.S. Senator to restore HER OWN power during the Ice storm we had, jumping ahead of the line. This is the SAME person who is okay with pocketing $500,000 for the same bills she voted for. She thinks that she's BETTER than the average person. We need a revolution in Tennessee. Not another career politician.

How about a movement called Let's Make America a Constitutional Republic Again. Our goals will be decentralize the power of the Federal Government, returning liberty to the people. Military resources that protect American soil only. Businesses choosing to operate in other countries must pay their own bribes or employ their own militay for protection. They can't offload that cost to taxpayers any longer.

This is the pro Israel echo chamber in action. The Israelis need Trump to commit ground troops so we stay engaged in achieving Israel’s strategic goal in Iran. Israel is working against negotiations. POTUS should know better than to fall for this Iraq war tier propaganda.
Chris Menahan 🇺🇸@infolibnews

Mark Thiessen, in Mark Levin interview Trump urged all his followers to watch, makes the case for troops on the ground in Iran: "We have to get what Donald Trump correctly calls 'the nuclear dust.'" Thiessen also tries to connect Iran to Al-Qaeda and 9/11.

@SKDoubleDub33 Does anyone else wonder why they feel confident enough to ignore voters? It appears they have no concern about being removed from their seats. Why is that? I'm genuinely curious why the consent of the people is no longer relevant. It's true in Washington and state capitals.

Unanimous Consent only requires consent from the senators present. It is absolutely possible that not every senator knew this was going to happen. Every senator that didn’t know needs to speak up. There were reportedly 5 senators present: Thune (R-SD), Eric Schmitt (R-MO), Bernie Moreno (R-OH, presiding), Brian Schatz (D-HI), and Andy Kim (D-NJ). The process relied on the presumption that the hotline clearance meant broad (or at least non-objection) agreement. The hotline process is designed to give every office a chance to object (protecting senators’ rights), it does not guarantee that every one of the 100 senators personally read the bill text, understood the exact timing, or was awake/available when it happened around 2 a.m. Many rely on staff for these routine or pre-negotiated procedural steps, especially late at night or right before recess. So, that means the Senate leaders sent around a hotline request early Friday morning (March 27, 2026) to check for objections. It returned without objection, allowing Majority Leader John Thune to bring it up shortly after 2 a.m. ET for a quick voice vote. How many senators were not aware because their staff never got the hotline request because it was made in the early morning hours? How much time was there between the hotline request and Thune asking if there were any objections in front of the four other senators on the floor? I have so many questions and our senators need to start talking and informing the public of exactly what went down. @BasedMikeLee or any other senator can get 4 other senators, show up on the floor and remove John Thune. If I were a campaign advisor, I would tell them to do exactly that immediately- then force the senators to return and get back to work to pass the things we’re demanding be passed. We all know the floor is still open. They’ve kept it open intentionally to block recess appointments. I’m so tired of the BS political games. We need to demand accountability and transparency.

@SKDoubleDub33 @RandPaul To be fair, the vote may have happened without his knowledge. If so, I'd like to see some outrage from him in that end.

@MargoinWNC Does no one think it's strange how a large portion of the population no longer even knows what a primary election is? It gets so little attention from media it's almost like they don't want a big turnout. I don't understand.

THEY ALL KNEW!!@ccochrane64

@MargoinWNC Voting in November accomplishes very little The best it does is slow the decline If we can’t get our useless imbeciles to the polls in the primaries to nominate actual conservatives we will eventually lose everything no matter how many times we show up in November

@AppyOrtho I have a real burr in my saddle over that kind of stuff. I have to have an app for my work too. I'm required to receive texts or emails to log into things I must do. That's entirely over the top. It's a total infringement of my privacy and personal rights.

@Chris_Stubb @dandinohill @ElectCarringer @78RepLittleton The red or blue designation means a lot more to the voters than it does to the party. Both colors see green. Both the party and the candidates care more about that than any other color. The policy that puts the most $$ in their bank account wins.

Kinda makes you wonder how many are Republicans and how many are closet Democrats who saw the opportunity and ran as a Republican. We tried to close the primaries in TN this week but these Rinos sided with Democrats: @ElectCarringer Knox County @78RepLittleton Cheatham Co Rep Rick Eldredge Grainger Co and Morristown Rep. Iris Rudder Franklin County and Marion County Rep. Dave Wright (Knox county)

When one non- US country supplies 70-88% of the workforce in a US company, statisticians call it statistically impossible. Cognizant already lost that exact case in federal court. If you're seeing the same thing in your office, it's not coincidence. What gets me is nobody seems to find it strange that 72% of the H1B all come from the same region as well? Why aren't there investigations around this, as well? Time to question everything we are observing with @USCIS

What does it mean to be "deep red"? TN has so many Republicans in it's house and senate Democrats don't even have to show up to vote and business can still go on. 93 out of 95 counties are run by Republicans We are the poster child for the Uniparty

Op-Ed: After watching the failure of the most constitutional bill ever presented to the most deep RED legislature in the nation, I can state with absolute certainty, one critically important fact… Election Integrity is DEAD and GONE in the USA. tinyurl.com/5n8a4szs

We are currently in the end stage of empire building. Every country that becomes powerful desires an empire. They want to control more land and tax more peoples. Every empire falls because this becomes to large a burden to sustain. Our founders understood this. They tried to structure us as a Constitutional Republic to distribute power away from a centralized entity. By the late 1800's the centralization and conquest had begun. The knowledge of history had been lost. Propaganda about fighting evil for the good had replaced it. Manifest Destiny played out and attention turned to other shores. The Spanish-American war, WWI, WWII... Empires need more and more money, warriors, and sacrifice to maintain them. Rome, Ottoman, Byzenyine, British where are they today?

Tucker Carlson: "We're moving toward one of two endpoints." "One is a totalitarian society, where... you have to obey, because you've got programmable digital currency and universal surveillance." "Or, we're going to have a revolution." "The current course won't work because it's a lie. If you tell people they own the government, they're in charge, they rule through the representatives in this democratic republic... and you don't deliver on it, they go crazy. They go totally crazy." "If you tell people they can't say what they think, and their vote doesn't matter, how many options have you left for them?" "Just one."
