The Grateful Dead, another lifetime net negative incalculable damage award. A industrial military culture destroyer masquerading as a hippy rock band. Great work!

@GYoursefl50011 @JanoschAurel @okaythenfuture You think you're clever and you can only repeat the most tired boomer-tier tropes. We've all heard it before, repeated a thousand times by every boomer in a thread any time china is mentioned for any reason whatsoever.

@JanoschAurel @okaythenfuture About what? Nobody's drinks anymore, and the people who still drink would rather chug mouthwash than chinese sludge. No one trusts them. There's a reason their neighbors hate their guts.

Let us create Xi's Law, "Anything that can be produced at scale will eventually be made at scale by the Chinese", right now whiskey is dominated by American, British, and French producers but a wave of young Chinese whiskey producers out of Fujian and Sichuan are now planning to basically take over the space. The most aggressive producers also surprisingly enough come from Shandong.

@ElimDS9Garak @ArmchairW Besides warning so that it isn't mistaken for nuclear ICBM launch (as it has many similarities), it is also warned because nobody has the ability to stop it anyways. So it is a bit like "calling your shot".

@RicardoNarLoyo @EinsteinAdonis @SussexHenryVIII That's true but it was obscenely obvious in this case. They were dead and literally everyone involved or with any relevant knowledge knew this 110% but they still led you retards around knowing this full well.

it's not over yet tho, considering the newly sworn in president father was torture to death bc he kidnapped an American oil executive in the 70's, so she and her brother hold a significant political capital and may reject the offer by Trump administration and may even double down, hence invasion and occupation.

Best fren and I would both tell our parents we were going to the other's house, then bike up to 20 miles in a day. Then we realized we didnt need an adult to get on the transit busses (they might have cost 75cents then) and we would take those all over. Nobody ever messed with us, pure magic.

Maybe I’m wrong but I still don't think our parents realized how far we rode our bikes in the 80s & 90s

@sweatystartup My uncle retired and a week later fell from a ladder onto a chainsaw trying to trim a tree rather than pay someone $50 to do it. His family came home to find him broken and unconscious on the ground. Don't be cheap. He lived but it will take years off of his life.

One of my friends dads is a fit 56 year old. Fell off a ladder and will never be the same again. A tail as old as time. No way a grown man who makes over $150k a year should get on a ladder.

@vickilb99 @Tim_Walz You see, in my country people read news from other countries, so we are aware of things happening all over the globe. You should try that instead of being so ignorant.

@MattisRedacted I think it depends on how modern Venezuela's manpads are. Modern manpads don't have any issue with lasers and flares.

This incident is really revealing just how many people think Battlefield is real life Every single one of those helicopters has at least three forms of countermeasures and probably several redundancies
Lord Bebo@MyLordBebo

🇻🇪 A regular soldier with a manpad could have downed couple of helicopters. Stopping these helicopters is extremely easy even for an insurgency, not even to speak about an army. This is so blatant … seems the military just let this happen.

My mom made split-pea soup with ham and I am eating it room-temp as like a dip with pieces of toasted crusty "real" bread. It is so good. Would be better with the soup warm but like, no, no time.

btw the driving around with lights on all of the time idea seems stupid but I think is really good. Not ALL of the traffic enforcement cruisers should be this way but in a city just letting your presence be known makes the drivers comply, without having to give a ticket. Unless, the point is a ticket for money collection as in most of podunk white america

Colorado is a high enforcement state on everything like you cant escape the govt and cops. tbh I hate the state, lived in Nederland for a few years never want to live in the state again. Most places more east you can drive for years with expired plates if you wish as long as you don't do anything to get pulled over (better keep insurance tho) this situation mostly happened because 1) Illegals have none of this shit and lets me nice to them (this is years ago before trump) 2)Floyd etc happened and cops really just don't want to do traffic stops any longer because its a dice roll if they die or become americas next most famous hated person. In one place I live they drive around with their blue lights on all of the time, the idea being you can see them more easily from far away, stop being a total asshole, and by the time they can see you they don't have to pull you over.

The state of Colorado sent me a letter telling me to surrender my Dodge Viper and accept a $250 credit toward a new EV. If you receive this letter, it means "RapidScreen" (roadside emissions testing) has failed your car, and your emissions certification has been revoked. You are no longer eligible to register your car until you provide documentation proving "authorized" work has been completed to fix your emissions system. They leave that out of the letter. An authorized shop quoted me $2,200 for certified CARB-compliant repairs. Alternatively, low-income drivers can just surrender their cars for a $250 credit, as this letter so nicely explains.

In TX years ago they failed my Monte Carlo Z34 on emissions test because some sensor in catalytic or whatever was bad. Outside there are boys in jacked up coal-rollers doing donuts I guess it doesn't apply to them lmao. I fixed it but total racket, wen through it in California in like 2002, said my ignition timing was off, let me fix it now for $50 or you have to start over for more another day. Oh, both of these cars actually had emissions extremely lower than the limits but they failed anyways.
