Totally amazed by the mass I attended this morning at St. Joseph’s in Greenwich Village A queue out the door. Standing room only + full of young people I’ve never seen a mass with this many young people. Average age was probably mid-to-late 20s Fr Jonah + the team are crushing it. The revival of Catholicism is very real

Truly embarrassing how some people we’ve consumed content from and respected for years are acting these days. My wife has zero social media, and I tried explaining to her a bit of what’s going on. She literally didn’t believe me. She couldn’t believe that grown people, who are successful in life, would go so low just to get some views. And don’t forget, they’ll talk about virtue, theology, and moral values, yet have absolutely none of it. It’s embarrassing no matter what side of the political spectrum you’re on.

The Anxious Generation was published two years ago today, in a very different world. Back then, the most common objection I got was resignation: "The train has left the station." "You can't put toothpaste back in the tube." "It's how the kids connect today." Today, the world looks very different. It turns out that if our kids were all on a train and we learned it was heading toward a collapsed bridge, we'd find a way to stop it and bring them safely back to the station. That’s what’s happening now. After the historic verdicts in Los Angeles and New Mexico, today is a great day to reflect on the capacity of people in democratic societies to take action, even when opposing some of the most powerful corporations in history. We're getting access to the courts. We're getting phone-free schools. We're seeing whole neighborhoods letting kids out to play, unsupervised, which is what we older folk all remember as the best part of childhood. So I want to recognize: --The mothers (and, right behind them, fathers) who rose up by the millions and powered the movement. --The farsighted governors and legislators in red states and blue states who have been innovating on policy solutions. --The leaders of a dozen of nations, who are raising the age to 16 for opening social media accounts (with a special shoutout to Australia, for going first). --The teachers and school administrators who had their classrooms disrupted for 15 years, and who are now eager to think through new solutions as screens have taken over and obstructed learning. --The grassroots organizations who have been dedicating their efforts to advocate for all of the above in their local communities. --The millions of members of Gen Z who have been rising up, demanding agency over how they spend their lives in the digital era, and finding better ways to connect in real life. And one final group: the survivor parents--the ones you saw in those pictures of people embracing on the front steps of the LA courthouse. I have met many over the years. I am in awe of their courage and tenacity, their willingness to tell their stories of loss, over and over again, to different audiences, in the hope that no other parent would have to endure what they have endured. At long last, juries and legislatures are hearing you, and are acting. Together, we are calling the train back to the station. Together, we are rolling back the phone based childhood and reclaiming life in the real world. The work continues. If you’re not already involved, join us: anxiousgeneration.com/join

Over the past several weeks, Carrie Prejean Boller has complained that she was removed from the Presidential Commission on Religious Liberty because of her Catholic beliefs, and she has called out myself and other Catholic members of the commission for not defending her. This is absurd. Mrs. Prejean Boller was not dismissed for her religious convictions but rather for her behavior at a gathering of the Commission last month: browbeating witnesses, aggressively asserting her point of view, hijacking the meeting for her own political purposes. The Catholic position on matters of “Zionism,” to which I fully subscribe, is as follows: all forms of antisemitism are to be unequivocally condemned; the state of Israel has a right to exist; but the modern nation of Israel does not represent the fulfillment of Biblical prophecies and hence does not stand beyond criticism. If Mrs. Prejean Boller were dismissed for holding these beliefs, it is difficult to understand why I am still a member of the Commission. To paint herself as a victim of anti-Catholic prejudice or to claim that her religious liberty has been denied is simply preposterous.
Carrie Prejean Boller@CarriePrejean1

Your Excellency, you shared with me through text message to me that my position reflects Catholic teaching, especially that the modern state of Israel is not the fulfillment of Biblical prophecy. That is the position I expressed, and yet I was removed from the Religious Liberty Commission. Respectfully, it is difficult not to conclude that this commission does not truly care about religious liberty when a Catholic can be removed for faithfully articulating the Church’s teaching. Asking me to deny Catholic teaching in order to satisfy a political ideology is itself a violation of my religious freedom. As Pope Leo XIII warned, “To recoil before an enemy, or to keep silence when from all sides such clamor is raised against truth, is the part of a coward.” Whether I serve on this Commission or not, my voice will only grow louder for those being persecuted for their faith. I believe this appointment was ordained by God, and I will not abandon my Catholic faith to keep a position on a commission that has abandoned its mission. If my religious freedom is not protected, then no one’s is. Please speak up. Please stand up for Catholics. Be brave, Bishop Barron. The world needs brave men.

New reserach shows the CDC guidelines about throwing away breastmilk immediately after your baby drinks from the bottle is way too cautious. Bacterial growth is minimal, even for several hours at room temp. This may seem minor but I promise it's not for parents. parentdata.org/babies/breast-…

Imagine being Erika for a moment. You've lost your husband while your children are still young — and not by natural causes, or some tragic accident, but by assassination for defending his values. And while you're pressing on despite your mourning, one of your husband's so-called friends begins attacking you, instead of the man responsible, to do as much harm to you and Charlie's organization as possible. And on top of that, as difficult as it is to believe, people who claim to be your friend — who spoke on Charlie's stage and attended his funeral — are suddenly nowhere to be found. They sit quietly on the sidelines, keeping a safe distance, hoping none of the arrows will come their way. Imagine how deeply that betrayal must hurt . . . how much it compounds the pain you're already suffering. You can't actually imagine it. There's no precedent for it. You'll never experience anything like it in your life.

We have overprotected our children in the real world and underprotected them online. This is not just about phones and iPads; it's about childhood. Let them have adventurous play, with small risks. It's safer and healthier in the long run.
Dr. Dominic Ng@DrDominicNg

Every additional hour a child spends in adventurous play is associated with lower anxiety and a better mood. More screen time does the opposite. Why? Adventurous play is free exposure therapy. Kids feel scared, then survive it. Over and over, they learn fear is manageable.

The only two things that can happen now: the baby is intentionally deprived of her natural mother and a father, or the couple returns the child for a refund. Either way, the child is traumatized. This entire industry is satanic.

Erika Kirk lost her husband and the father of her children in the most public and horrific way imaginable. She jumped right in to continue his work and protect his legacy because she knew how important that was to him. That takes incredible strength. No one is perfect, but I can't imagine anyone dealing publicly with those circumstances much better than she has. Those attacking and judging her are overwhelmingly filled with jealousy and hate. And the people monetizing and leading those attacks are demonic psychopaths. This has nothing to do with politics. It's about basic human decency.

NEW: DHS RELEASE STATEMENT ON MINNEAPOLIS SHOOTING: At 9:05 AM CT, as DHS law enforcement officers were conducting a targeted operation in Minneapolis against an illegal alien wanted for violent assault, an individual approached US Border Patrol officers with a 9 mm semi-automatic handgun, seen here.  The officers attempted to disarm the suspect but the armed suspect violently resisted. More details on the armed struggle are forthcoming. Fearing for his life and the lives and safety of fellow officers, an agent fired defensive shots. Medics on scene immediately delivered medical aid to the subject but was pronounced dead at the scene.  The suspect also had 2 magazines and no ID—this looks like a situation where an individual wanted to do maximum damage and massacre law enforcement.    About 200 rioters arrived at the scene and began to obstruct and assault law enforcement on the scene, crowd control measures were deployed for the safety of the public and law enforcement.  This situation is evolving, and more information is forthcoming.

REPORTER: “A local school district here is alleging ICE agents detained a 5-year-old after preschool on Tuesday...Are you proud of how your administration is conducting this immigration crackdown..." VP VANCE: “I actually saw this terrible story while I was coming to Minneapolis...I see this story and I am a father of a 5-year-old actually, 5-year-old little boy, I think to myself oh my God this is terrible how did we arrest a 5-year-old?" “Well I do a little bit more follow-up research and what I find is that the five-year-old was not arrested —that his dad was an illegal alien, and then when they went to arrest his illegal alien father, the father ran.” “So the story is that 'ICE detained a five-year-old.' Well, what are they supposed to do? Are they supposed to let a five year old child freeze to death?”

I’m adopted. Nobody is owed a biological child because they can’t conceive. Peoples genes are not that special. Sometimes life fucking sucks & you can’t have bio kids. Renting out a woman’s internal organs is sick & human trafficking. Women are not tools to get a baby
