NEW YORK TAKE ACTION! FIVE TERRIBLE VACCINES BILLS PASSED IN ONE ASSEMBLY HEALTH COMMITTEE MEETING The New York State Assembly Health Committee under the leadership of Chair Amy Paulin was very busy yesterday passing five awful vaccine-related bills. Some bills were less than a week old, others had been hanging around for years with no action.  All are direct threats to our bodily integrity, medical privacy, health, safety and Constitutional rights. We are going into the last 6 weeks (we hope) of the legislative session when almost all the voting on bills is done in Albany. We can stop these bills, but it will take intense effort by thousands of committed people. TAKE ACTION You must get on the phone today and call the following leaders in the legislature and let them know politely that you oppose the five bills below. Sen. Andrea Stewart Cousins, Senate Majority Leader (518) 455-2585 Sen. Gustavo Rivera, Health Committee Chair (518) 455-3395 Asm. Carl Heastie, Speaker of the Assembly (518) 455-3791 Asm. Any Paulin, Health Committee Chair (518) 455-5585 Call your State Senator and Assemblymember’s offices and ask to speak to the elected official and let him or her know that you want them to oppose these bills. Talking points are below. Governor Kathy Hochul (D-NY) (518) 474-8390 (Capitol) Lt. Governor Antonio Delgado (D-NY) (518) 402-2292 (Capitol) Secretary of State Walter Mosley (D-NY) (518) 486-9844 (Capitol) Attorney General Tish James (D-NY) Senator Toby Stavisky (D-NY-011) (518) 455-3461 (Capitol) Assemblymember David Weprin (D-NY-024) (518) 455-5806 (Capitol) Look up your State Senator here: nysenate.gov/find-my-senator Look up your Assemblymember here: nyassembly.gov/mem/search/ Please share this action alert with friends and family and post on social media. A10711/S9895, Gov. Hochul’s Vaccine Power Grab This bill gives control over the New York vaccine schedule, recommendations and policy to the Governor and her appointed Commissioner of Health.  The vaccines selected under A10711/S9598 will not have to be approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), the Advisory Committee of Immunization Practices, or by any other federal agency. The bill allows the governor to make these decisions solely on her own authority. The bill will give complete control over the vaccine schedule for “newborns” to the Governor and her appointees with no oversight from the legislature, federal agencies, or anybody else. The Governor becomes the vaccine dictator of New York. Click here to send messages to your Assemblymember and State Senator telling them that you oppose Gove. Hochul’s vaccine power grab. votervoice.net/AUTISMACTION/C… A2078/S5724 Mandatory hepatitis b shots for college This bill would require hepatitis b shots to attend college in New York. Doesn’t matter if you are an online student or live out of state or even the US. Hepatitis b is transmitted via sex or sharing needles not sitting next to someone in economics class. The stupidest thing about this bill is that it would remain illegal to exclude a person from college who has an active case of hepatitis but a healthy person who did not get the shot could be denied an education. Click here to send messages to your Assemblymember and State Senator telling them that you oppose mandatory hepatitis shots for college students. A2078/S5724 votervoice.net/AUTISMACTION/C… A765/S9893, The RFKJR Act, The mandatory adult vaccine database bill This bill would allow information to be entered into the state vaccine database without the need to get permission from the person the information is about. They will be able to record whether someone received, or did not receive, a vaccine, and use that information for enforcement actions. This is one more step towards a completely mandatory adult vaccine database. The database is a surveillance and enforcement tool to give the state the information they need to enforce vaccine mandates, passports and other coercion and enforcement procedures. This visible has been passed by the Health Committee and the Assembly before, but up till now has not made progress in the Senate. Click here to send messages to your Assemblymember and State Senator telling them that you oppose the” RFKJR Act” A1071/S9895 votervoice.net/AUTISMACTION/C… A9140/S9604, Liability immunity for vaccines NOT approved by the Federal Government If Hochul is going to complete New York’s secession from the federal health agencies and mandate vaccines in New York not approved by the CDC’s Advisory Committee on Immunization practices, New York will need to provide immunity. A9140/S9604 provides immunity to workers who administer vaccines but not to the vaccine manufacturers. We expect another bill will arrive soon to protect the vaccine producers. Click here to send messages to your Assemblymember and State Senator telling them that you oppose losing your Constitutional right to justice just to promote the goals of the vaccine industry. votervoice.net/AUTISMACTION/C… A3254a, Summer camp campers must get all mandates vaccines Requires minor campers at summer camps to be current with the vaccine schedule required for school. This is a one-house bill sponsored by Asm. Jeffrey Dinowitz, meaning there is no companion bill in the Senate, and it cannot become law until an identical Senate bill appears. All four bills have been forwarded to the Rules Committee, which decides which bill go to the floor for a vote.

RIDGLAN FARMS—A breakdown of the problem, and what YOU can do to make a difference. There are three parts to this atrocity — and most people are only focused on the first one. 1. Breeder: Ridglan 2. Regulator: USDA 3. Buyers: Labs / Universities 1. Ridglan — the breeder Ridglan is forced to stop selling dogs in July, but that does NOT mean they are forced to fully shutdown, and it does NOT mean the dogs are automatically safe. Where are the ~2,000 dogs going? Who is taking them? Is there a written, documented plan? Are dogs still being sold before July? 🔴If you want to do something, contact: Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection and the Wisconsin Attorney General’s office. Ask for the plan in writing. Ask what enforcement looks like if the terms aren’t followed. 2. USDA — the federal regulator Ridglan still has a FEDERAL license through the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA). That’s why this doesn't end in July. USDA APHIS Animal Care — handles inspections and enforcement under the Animal Welfare Act. (see thread for details) 🔴Here’s what to actually do: Go to the USDA Animal Care Public Search Tool and pull every inspection report, annual report, and enforcement record for Ridglan. If anything is missing, file a FOIA request with APHIS and ask for: – inspection reports – photos and videos – compliance letters – complaint records – enforcement actions – and any written plan for where these dogs are going Ask USDA directly: What would trigger restriction or revocation of this facility’s license? What happens after July? That is what determines whether this abuse actually stops or just shifts. 3. The BUYERS — labs, universities, pharma This is the part almost no one is talking about enough. 📢WHO IS BUYING THESE DOGS AND TESTING ON THEM? Ridglan exists because someone is BUYING. ➡️This is supply and demand.⬅️ If buyers stop buying, then breeders like Ridglan cease to exist. I found records compiled by Rise for Animals and The Marty Project and cross-checked parts of the data against NIH grants, institutional disclosures, and USDA inspection reports. See the attached list. Almost 1/3 of the list are major universities —the same places we send our kids, donate to, and support publicly. So if people want to direct their energy somewhere that actually matters, start asking those institutions: Do you use dogs in research? Do you source from Ridglan or breeders like them? Which grants are funding this work? What is your plan to stop? Contact: – Office of Research – IACUC (animal care & use committee) – compliance/ethics offices – and leadership 1⃣Ridglan is one part of the problem. 2⃣USDA is one part of the problem. 3⃣The buyers are one part of the problem. Most people are only yelling at the first one. If we actually want this to change, we have to go after all three — not just the one that’s getting the most attention online.

Dear X Family, PLEASE SHARE ❤️❤️❤️♥️ As we mark National Beagle Day today, we at Beagle Lovers And Rescuers Inc. believe this moment is not only about celebrating and pampering our beloved beagles, but also about remembering those who are not free. It is a day that brings into focus the ongoing reality of beagles still being used in research, including the recent events at Ridglan Farms. Over the past several days, Ridglan Farms has drawn national attention following an open rescue attempt where advocates sought to remove beagles from the facility. While no dogs were taken out, the action brought together a growing number of people who refuse to ignore what is happening behind those fences. Authorities reported arrests, while those on the ground have continued to emphasize that the effort was peaceful. Witnesses reported that members of the Dane County Sheriff's Office, along with private security, deployed rubber bullets, tear gas and pepper spray through the fence toward individuals gathered outside. These events have only strengthened our resolve to continue speaking out. For us, National Beagle Day is not only about the dogs we share our homes with. It is also about the beagles still inside Ridglan Farms and Marshall BioResources. We will continue to be their voice, to raise awareness, and to stand with those who are demanding change.

Please everyone take 5 minutes and email this agency in an effort to shut down Ridglan and force them to surrender the dogs. These pups are asking for 5 minutes of your time. So the suffering will end for these sweet souls. facebook.com/share/p/17WYjc…

WOW: RFK Jr. was just grilled about the NIH approving new funding for cruel beagle labs on his watch. “You’re still giving money to groups through the NIH that are using beagles!” Watch this shocking moment from today’s hearing: Rep. Mark Pocan cited our investigations to call out this shocking example of NIH funding for beagle labs: “In my district, we have something called Ridglan Farms that’s a beagle breeder for research.” “Grants are still, in the last month, going to groups that are getting beagles from Ridglan Farms.” “The head of NIH… said that there’s a policy about beagle testing that would not allow animals to be tortured.” “And that’s part of what’s happening with this facility.” Kennedy: “I have a hard time believing that.” “I need to look into this.” “We’ve ended most of it.” That’s not true. We have already exposed that, under Kennedy, the NIH literally approved new funding for beagle labs just this month. This is exactly why we’re running our WTF RFK ad campaign across the country. Thank you @RepMarkPocan for holding RFK Jr. accountable! @SecKennedy

THIS!
Emily Trunnell PhD 🐀@ERoseEngland

Louder for the folks in the back! 📣 I'm sick of the narrative being framed as 'activists' vs. 'scientists.' MANY of us on the side of animal advocacy are scientists too. The difference is that when we see that the data, - the data on animal sentience, consciousness, and cognition; - the data on fundamental species differences that affect health and disease and disease treatment; - the data on how stress and laboratory environments confound research results; - the data showing that the reproducibility crisis disproportionately affects animal experimentation; - the data on the public health risks of shipping animals across the world and confining them in tiny cages where they come in contact with humans every day; - the data on the research- and testing-driven decimation of wild populations of some of these species; - the data showing the incredible precision medicine potential of human-based research technologies; *We* accept that those data mean we should change our actions. Many climate scientists and also climate activists. Many physicians and biomedical scientists lead and join in activism for reproductive healthcare and social determinants of health. But when it comes to animal liberation, it's reported differently. And there's no legitimate reason for that. But I do see that this is changing. And in the end, the scientists who *act* on what they see, and who push for laws and practices to reflect changing knowledge, will be on the right side of history.

@WHEC_JLewke So...mandating electric buses, electric stoves and now electric lawnmowers all on a failing, maxed-out electric grid from which more than 50% of the power is generated from fossil fuels? Do I have that right?

Thank you Lara Trump @LaraLeaTrump for speaking out for the Ridglan beagles who are sold to NIH @NIH-funded labs for torture experiments. I hope you will join me and White Coat Waste @whitecoatwaste in urging HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr @RobertKennedyJr to finally cut NIH funding for testing on dogs from Ridglan and other disgusting puppy mills. Over a year ago, WCW, @kindnessranch and I offered to help save and rehome the dogs from Ridglan and other labs. This would be a huge win for President Trump @realdonaldtrump who has told me he opposes these cruel tests that have been exposed by me and White Coat Waste. Secretary Of War @SecWar Pete Hegseth @PeteHegseth immediately cancelled and banned the dog tests we exposed. RFK Jr. can do the same thing. As long as the NIH keeps funding taxpayer funded testing on dogs from Ridglan, as it has done since RFK Jr. and Jay Bhattacharya @DrJBhattacharya took office, this company and others like it that breed beagles for labs will stay in business. Help us save the puppies!

Harrowing scenes of animals screaming in agony have been caught on camera revealing the hidden reality of testing in UK labs, say campaigners. 🚨 Footage was filmed by a worker at two testing plants and shows beagles, primates, mini-pigs, rats and rabbits enduring enormous suffering and distress. 💔 The unprecedented footage was filmed by a worker at two testing plants and shows beagles, primates, mini-pigs, rats and rabbits enduring enormous suffering and distress. In my district, a beagle breeding facility called Ridglan Farms has hundreds of code violations, including serious harm to the health of the dogs, yet the NIH is still giving funding to groups that use the beagles from this facility. Today, I urged Secretary Kennedy to stop this practice.
