Another broken campaign promise is ending warrantless spying through FISA.
Now Trump’s WH wants a clean extension, WITHOUT a warrant requirement.
I always voted against it bc FISA was abused and used to spy on Americans.
Massie is voting NO but most R’s will obey Trump’s demand bc they are afraid of being called disloyal and getting called silly names on Trump’s Truth Social.
It should not be about loyalty to a man, it should be about doing what is right and stopping the Federal government’s ability to spy on Americans.
Congress needs to do the right thing and add warrant requirements to FISA 702.
But likely they will just vote yes like little controlled robots bc Congress is broken.

I vote with GOP 91% of the time, but that’s about to go to 90%. I won’t vote to let feds spy on you without a warrant. FISA 702 allows the government to search for your information in vast databases compiled while targeting foreigners. The White House sent me this email today:
