Today, we are releasing video already provided to U.S. District Court showing Cole Allen shoot a U.S. Secret Service officer during his attempt to assassinate the President at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner.
There is no evidence the shooting was the result of friendly fire.
The video also shows Allen casing the area in the Hilton Hotel the day before the attack.
My office along with the @FBI will continue this extensive investigation to bring Cole Allen to justice.

During the shooting against Trump, Cole Allen entered a room. The dog of a government agent sensed something was wrong. The agent did not listen to his dog. That is unfortunate, because he could have stopped the whole thing long before the shooter tried to fire on an agent. This is a serious mistake by the agent. If the agent had been hit, believe me, the handler holding the dog on the leash would have been in serious trouble.

On Monday Marco Rubio said that we cannot allow Iran to have control over the strait of Hormuz, picking and choosing who enters and what currency they use. There is a very important reason why the administration feels this way: because it would be the greatest military defeat in US history. We lost in Vietnam and Afghanistan in a sense but never like this. If we leave now with the new status quo being Iran controls the strait then we have transformed a relegated, isolated, sanction crippled nation into a global power. Leaving now is an admission of a tremendous defeat and it’s also the best possible thing to do. This is the trap that Trump is now in all because he listened to Netanyahu and launched the insane war of choice.

The original ship’s bell from HMS Trump , a WWII British submarine that served in the Pacific and was the only Royal Navy vessel ever to carry that name.
Charles told Trump that the old sub was an “AUKUS predecessor” and said it should stand as “a testimony to our nations’ shared history and shining future.”
Then came the playful closer: “And should you ever need to get hold of us, just give us a ring.”
The King is clearly having fun with the name, and Trump is now the proud owner of a genuine piece of naval history.
